Staff is friendly but slow. Food is average. Decor is nothing special, you’re in a basement and feels like it. Michelada was average. I got the which they recommended… portion size was good, but the fish tasted a little bit fishy. You have to go down the stairs to get to the restaurant, I didn’t see an elevator for handicap accessibility. They also charge for extra baskets of chips.

Food was barely warm. Food is mediocre-but at least make it hot! Lukewarm food is dangerous. The wait staff is friendly. The wall-to-wall carpeting has an old smell. It needs to be removed and no carpet. The cold faucet in the Ladies toilet gave scalding hot water that almost burned my 7 year old granddaughter. Second time here. Second time disappointed.

We had the place to ourselves for the most part, (only because it was New Years Day.) Very clean restaurant. Good food. We had a variety of things. From a chili rellano, chicken mole, taco, enchilada, to grilled chicken. It was all really good! Charbroiled chicken was a little dry, but had great flavor! Sangria was really good! Not too sweet which was nice.

I ordered a taco salad to go. Alejandro was very hospitable and I sat and waited and it was maybe 6 minutes max there was plenty of salsa and plastic ware and a very nice portion. Although this dish is not spicy it was very tasty and it hit the spot and satisfied exactly what I was looking for. Good job casa Mexico, a great job Alejandro

Definitely a nice place to visit on a warm day or night. Having the location be in the basement adds to the traditional cantina feel and vibe. Food was great with plenty of options, makes me want to go back and try more. Located in Hyde Park which enhances the natural atmosphere.

Visiting Boise and wanted a taco or something adjacent. Nothing authentic about this menu. Its very american Disguised as mexican for people who haven’t ever had real mexican cuisine. The customer service was fantastic and the atmosphere was great. But the beans and rice had no seasoning and them the shredded beef was ground beef. Save your money if you want authentic mexican food.

It’s located down the steps in the basement of a house. I was sceptical about the place until I open the door. Big inside. Beautiful with lovely art. Wide variety of food choices. The waitress was excellent and friendly. My Mexican pizza was perfect. My son’s fish tacos were larger than he expected. This is the perfect place for a family or a romantic dinning experience.
