This was an amazing stop for lunch and just a short walk from the museum row and cemetery! The bar looked amazing but we were just there for the food. The Reuben was phenomenal with large hunks of corned beef and the Irish poutine (cheese and gravy) fries were absolutely killer. Everyone at our table was extremely happy with their meal including my son who just ordered a plain bacon cheeseburger since he’s picky. Theres a nice bar area for those that want it but there is a large restaurant area connected that is family appropriate. Service was top notch as well, I definitely recommend this as a stop on your visit to downtown Gettysburg.

We had an awesome meal at this pub, we were seated outside the main bar area and even while it was a moderately busy night(im assuming) our table was plenty quiet for a conversation. The beer we got was great! Obviously Guinness from the tap is always a hit when done right, and the food was also exceptional!
We got the bangers and mash, and a lamb burger and both were fantastic, the lamb burger was juicy, tender, and a unique flavor from beef burger (its not grassy, just trust) and the bangers and mash was a perfect comfort food pick, the potatoes were creamy with chunks of potato in them, the gravy was expertly seasoned, as was the sausage. And do not pass up the scotch egg for an appetizer it was very very good! Rich, but not greasy!
9.7/10 would definetly reccomend to anyone visiting Gettysburg this spot will not disappoint!

I came here for lunch on a Saturday with my partner and his grandma. There is paid street parking available in front of the restaurant. We were seated right away even without a reservation. The place definitely has a pub vibe, though without the loud energy. Service was kind and friendly. I requested no ice in my water and it came as such. I got the shepard’s pie and I enjoyed it. It seemed to be made with real ingredients and not just something heated up. Most items on the menu were below $20 which is somewhat rare these days for restaurant food. Overall I’d recommend this place for good food and service!

We enjoyed our dinner at Garryowen Irish Pub tonight. Raz, our server, was personable and efficient. Our appetizers (crab & roasted red pepper soup and Ceasar salad) were delicious. Our meals (fish & chips and Shepard Pie) were served hot and tasty. The atmosphere is interesting and comfortable, and our beverages tasted good after a long date touring the battlefield.

We came here on a Saturday night in October for dinner and ended up seeing some live music that we didn’t realize was scheduled.
The downstairs bar was full so we went up to the 3rd floor (or was it second floor – the top level whichever it is). The downstairs was pretty busy and we weren’t sure about getting a table. The upstairs wasn’t as busy but it is much smaller. It was nice with then musicians playing, it was a more intimate experience. We walked up stairs, if you can’t do stairs just stay on the lower level. I hear they do Irish music down there on some Sundays.
We sat at the bar up there. The bartender was friendly and attentive. I don’t remember her name but she was very pleasant. We orders drinks and dinner. We had Gaelic shrimp and the scrumpy prig and mushroom chicken. Both were good. I would like to go back and try a dessert.
The band was very good although I didn’t get any video – sorry!
Prices were comparable with other places. We parked on the street and didn’t pay a meter but it was late. I don’t know what the times are for the meters – best to check the actual meter or the Gettysburg parking authority before you go. The town is walkable so even if you end up a couple of blocks over you’ll be fine.
We had an enjoyable time.

The bar is very nostalgic. I ate in the restaurant section and it has a throwback vibe to it. The service was good and so was the food. My only complaint is the red skinned mashed potatoes seemed to be microwaved. I got the mushroom chicken with a cream sauce and it was excellent. Definitely a cool stop to grab a pint and a bite to eat.

It was a very nice experience. There was an indoor or outdoor option. We chose inside. The bar was at the front and then there were regular tables further back. We sat there. Our waitress was very nice and friendly. Our food was delicious. I had the chicken dish (pictured) and my son had the Gaelic shrimp (pictured) he devoured it and some of my chicken, so it was definitely good. The Irish poutine (pictured)! was very good as well. He said is was alright, but he kept eating it lol. If we had more time here, we would definitely go back. We will come back on another trip though for sure.

Great traditional style pub (guessing!!) serving delicious food. Excellent selection of beer and whisky, extensive food selection. Go early – it gets busy!

Just visited Garryowen Irish Pub and had a fantastic experience! The fish and chips were excellent—crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I was also thrilled to find Kilkenny Irish Cream Ale on draft—absolutely marvelous and the perfect pairing for my meal. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic Irish fare and a great atmosphere!
