I won’t be back nor recommend.

It has the look of a upscale place but it isn’t.

We had a waitress then we were told they were cycling or moving around I don’t remember.

Start to finish 2 hours.

My husband ordered a Paloma & holy cow it was crazy strong & we drink straight whiskey at home so we’re good with strong drinks but this was off balance for such a tiny cup.

The food.

My husband ordered the duck. He said the skin was fatty and didn’t eat it. Overall so so dish.

I ordered the seafood tower.
The big one just for me!

Of course the manager or someone comes and says how’s the food as soon as it comes out. Yeah I had one oyster so far. Then the waitress a minute later how’s the food.

I substituted the clams for more oysters. Two were rotten tasting after the first few. I ran to the bathroom on one. I panicked and spat the other in the napkin (sorry). They all had flakes of the shell in the oyster shell under the meat. Some wasn’t even separated from the shell. I “ate” about 6 oysters so four really put of a total out of 12 I think, one shrimp and a pinch of my lobster. I took it to go. We live about 30 mins away. An hour later after it was in the fridge I went to finish it because it’s seafood. The middle inner of the lobsters were still grey/ translucent absolutely raw. The shrimp were fine (bland) and the rest of the oysters we auctually fine with fragments of the shell in it. Before you think I don’t know oysters I shuck my own at home by ordering it overnight from Maine, fresh and plump with thier pull date on the bushel of the day before.

But to boot our waitress Clara that boxed it all up threw alway all my sauces & only packed like 2 tables spoons of horseradish in saucer and one saucer cup of mingonette. Threw away my lemons, butter, cocktail sauce and a Tabasco. I was beyond disappointed and annoyed when I got home and was ready to finish the rest of it.

Ps I should add we waited at our trusty Sorry Charlie’s restaurant before our reservation and I ordered 6 oysters and the were fresh, plump and clean. I think the ones here were at least two or three days since picked from farm at minimum. Also I don’t believe they were of the same date batch based on the flavor.

I wasn’t a fan of the tiny table they gave us and my huge seafood tower took 50% of the table it was beyomd embarrassing. The waitress right away was putting stuff to the side and on the coulum.

Everytime staff or customers walked by because we were near the bathrooms staff area the whole floor shook terribly upstairs. It was honestly making me absolutely nauseous along with the scent of the chemical in the “candle” on our tiny table. I’d say our table was like 4×4 feet at most. Tiny. On top of that both our chairs wobbled really bad front to back. Added with the bounce of the floor! Not notible but should be mentioned. The cutlery was generic also as some one who only had water I worry on how well the cute wine looking water bottles are sanitized. I promise I’m not nit picking.

I am not sure if this was because of Valentines weekend but for an upscale restaurant with a reservation I was VERY disappointed with just the food alone. Then the floor bouncing. Then the dirty oysters. The smell. Terrible to go box.

Alligator Soul has never done me wrong and they always live up to “upscale” dinning.

I will throw out there we did arrive early and they DID accommodate us an hour earlier than our reservation. The look of the place is very nice walking in but it’s so dim I fear it’s hiding a lot flaws. (The table next to us was using thier phone to read the menu and it was like a torch in our faces in the little tables area).

Also fix your toilets they hardly flush (the left one in the women’s bathroom) and there is only two toilets.

It was our second anniversary celebration in Garibaldi and we were as satisfied as the 1st time. It is the best choice to celebrate special occasion or just have original meal with your love ones.
Location, atmosphere, service and food come perfectly together to create an unforgettable experience.
Very much recommended!

Such a great experience! Love this place. Good quality food and nice service. Had a steak Diane, the grilled salmon, a salad and the cheese cake. All tasted well, only the salad was not fresh any more. The place was recommended by friends from Wilmington (Eric) and we are very thankful for having the chance to be there. Really a good restaurant!

We returned to garibaldi’s recently to celebrate our anniversary, after eating here on a date over 36 yrs ago. The restaurant was still top notch with a charming southern decor. The food was excellent – poached pear salad and filet & lobster were flavorful and gourmet quality. Service was exceptional! After a friendly greeting and anniversay wishes, we were promptly seated and served champagne to kick off dinner. Still impressed after all of these years!

We showed up early for our 6:45 reservation and were seated upstairs with a beautiful street view—such a romantic touch. Jordan was amazing and made us feel so taken care of. My husband loved his ribeye special, and my filet with crab was incredible. The chef even made béarnaise just for me! Warm bread, perfect steaks, and a wonderful night. Highly recommend!

We went to Garibaldis to celebrate a birthday last evening. The bread that brought out was excellent. One of us had the redfish special and the other was the red snapper special. Both were fantastic. I would highly recommend coming here for an excellent fish dish and celebration.

I highly highly highly recommend this establishment!! In a nutshell, this restaurant is absolutely fantastic!! There was no part of our experience that was worth less than 5 stars! We arrived about 8 minutes prior to our reservation and were immediately seated at the perfect table next to a window. Within moments we were greeted by the waiter who promptly retrieved our ordered cocktails and breads which were made perfectly. The food arrived in a respectable time frame and was absolutely delicious!! It had perfect flavors and was prepared exactly as it should’ve been. The service provided by our waiter was by far the best we experienced in Savannah (I wish i could remember his name for this review) and possibly in the United States. The atmosphere as well as the restaurant overall was beautiful and perfectly decorated in such a way that made you feel at home but in a luxury restaurant at the same time.

The atmosphere in here alone brings it to 5 stars. Simply gorgeous and makes you feel like you’ve taken a step back into grander times.

We had the calamari to start and it was pretty standard faire, but it was a nice touch that real calamari was sprinkled throughout the dish. The sauce is really what stepped it up a notch.

The she-crab soup was a 10/10

Followed by the steak and lobster pasta. The lobster and sauce for the noodles were amazing!

Only regret is that we were too full for dessert

Maybe next time

Garibaldi’s is a two-story restaurant near City Market. We had the Crispy Calamari for an appetizer with bread. My entree was the Veal Milanese and my mom had the Lobster Rabini. Delicious.

Very nice restaurant and exceptional staff. the calamari 6/10 alittle chewy but a good portion and the sauce 8/10. The bread is solid 8/10, we split the crispy duck entree 8/10 so the picture is only half so the portion size is great
