The teamwork was really good with the staff. Had a gentleman bring us our food, server checked in often and wasnt overbearing, and an older lady helped clear the table as we finished up.
Here’s what I wasnt happy about, the gratuity of about 15% at the end and a Mexican coke is 5$ and some change. I know times are hard but cmon now, 5$? In all my bill was just over 23$ with a drink and enchiladas. The food portions were unbalanced. There was a large portion of rice and the beans were really lacking. The food was alright, not impressive. Was it worth 23$? No.
Now on to the gratuity. Maybe im mistaken but there arent any signs stating the party limit it applies to or percentage. We werent told there was a gratuity at any point. That’s a little odd. Now, im not cheap when it comes to good service, even if the food sucks. 20-25% is my usual baseline. But I feel like they were sneaky with the gratuity. Its on the customer reciept at the bottom, which is tucked away nicely in the left pocket of the book. The rest of the guys at my table didnt know it was added. Maybe it wasnt intentional, but it rubbed me the wrong way.
I feel like there are much better Mexican restaurants with better pricing in the area. But, thats just my opinion. Won’t be returning here.
According to my daughter, an employee began speaking to her in a rude and confrontational manner over a simple misunderstanding. Instead of resolving the issue calmly and respectfully, the staff member raised their voice and escalated the situation. What is even more troubling is that the manager who should set the standard for professionalism chose to argue with her rather than step in to de-escalate and provide proper customer service.
My daughter was left feeling disrespected, embarrassed, and completely shocked that a restaurant of your standard would allow such behaviour. As someone who expects quality service especially from an establishment that prides itself on its reputation this incident is unacceptable.
I would appreciate a prompt explanation as to why this situation occurred, what actions will be taken to address this behaviour, and how you intend to ensure that no other customer has a similar experience.

I went with a group of people, and my drink was never empty. Not once did we have to look for our waitress, and everyone’s food came out quickly … and it was all correct!
I had the combo molcajete it was delicious!
