I absolutely love Gardenias Bistro. The atmosphere, the food, the people — it’s beyond. Every time I’m in the Keys, I spend my mornings here to truly rejuvenate.
The smoothie bowl is hands down the best I’ve ever had — and it’s very filling. Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made. It’s one of those meals you think about long after you leave.
The setting feels like you’re eating in a lush jungle, surrounded by plants and greenery. It’s peaceful, vibrant, and such a refreshing way to start the day.
And the staff? Friendly, welcoming, and genuinely amazing.
If you’re in the Keys, this place is a must.

What a beautiful space! I am so glad I finally got a chance to stop in. The food and drink were delicious! I had the Ricotta toast and Shroom drink. The customer service was wonderful and welcoming! I walked around the garden space and it was quiet the place! They had so many plants, few chickens running around and a rabbit house in back. I am looking forward to returning to this space.

We visited here on Dec 30th, it was very busy with it being the Christmas period but the staff were very nice and friendly and the service was still really good. I had an iced vanilla latte and the marigold smoothie and my husband had normal coffee. They were all really tasty. We did not have food but we did see many plates being brought out which looked really good. Toilet was clean and tidy. The atmosphere was also really nice and I liked the music. I would definetly visit here again if I came back to the keys.

Beautiful cafe that’s nestled in a garden.
We stumbled on this wonderful little café during a morning bike ride and were so glad we did. It’s a perfect spot to take a break right off the bike trail. The sweet Danish was absolutely delicious and generously covered with strawberries and blueberries. The latte was excellent as well—smooth and flavorful. Service was friendly and pleasant, making the stop even more enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back to Gardenia Cafe!

Very nice atmosphere. Very green. The food is average. I ordered two bacon sandwiches, a coffee latte, and sweet tea. Total: $50. They automatically added an 18% service charge. $25 for a sandwich with coffee is very expensive. Sandwiches are $6 at Pablicks. The coffee is the same as at any gas station. The price should be $10-15 with tips. The cafe wins due to the atmosphere; that’s their only advantage.

Incredible. The sweetest staff, delicious foods, and peaceful ambience. They definitely think of everything.. for example: I ordered a cookie and they heated it up and served it with homemade whipped cream. I’m telling you nothing missed. I got a salad and my boyfriend got the avocado toast. Both better than expected. Great place to bring kids but also big enough restaurant that if you want a quiet business meeting, you could easily come here. Couldn’t recommend it more!

Perfect brunch date
Food is fresh, service is really great, atmosphere is so relaxing and beautiful.
Only minus that it’s right next to the road, and traffic can be dusty and loud.

Everything about this place is perfect. The workers are incredibly nice and really went out of their way. The drinks and food were delicious. The scenery is great being surrounded by plants. The food/drinks might be on the pricier side, but I was happy to pay it if it keeps the place so perfect.

Total rip off! We stopped on our drive out to Key West based on the recommendation of our kayak tour guide. We ordered a fruit bowl, parfait and two large coffees. And it was $47! I questioned the woman who served us and she mentioned a credit card fee, gratuity and some other fee. Great food but not worth the price (or just make sure they are not ripping you off as a tourist).

What a great little hidden gym. Right about mile marker 86 is a garden center called Island home. And inside the beautiful gardens where almost everything is for sale you will find the little bistro. It’s open early for breakfast so that’s great if you’re driving down, and want to stop on your way further south. Lots of fun things on the menu and the seating area makes you feel like you are in a tropical garden, even though it’s right on the highway. their coffee drinks and smoothies are delicious and their food tastes homemade. Great place to bring kids because they can visit the exotic chickens on site.
