Service was excellent and the food was delicious. We started with the fried green tomatoes and the truffle deviled egg, both were great. The shrimp and grits and the country fried pork chops wonderful. The old fashioned was exceptional.

Winter for a work dinner and the place was pretty decent. I got the special cocktail, which hit the mark and the appetizers were pretty decent as well. For my main course, I ordered shrimp and grits and really enjoyed it. We were too full by the end of the meal to get any desserts, but the highlight was that somebody on our table. Ordered the deviled egg, and they literally got half a devil egg, pictured in my review. Well, we sat outside on the patio. It was a bit hot, and I would choose to sit inside if I will still visit this place again. The Ambience inside seemed really nice and cozy and perfect for a small group of up to four. I suppose that was probably the reason why they seated us outside.

We had a fantastic time at Garden and Gun club. The atmosphere is cozy, the location is great and the food was outstanding. We also had great service and they validated parking (after 4pm only). I had the scallops and they were cooked perfectly. My friend had the pork schnitzel and she also really enjoyed it. We had the deviled egg and smoked fish dip as appetizers. I recommend it all!

The atmosphere at Garden & Gun is exceptional—refined Southern charm with an old-money aesthetic that bourbon enthusiasts will particularly appreciate. The bourbon selection is extensive, and the wine list is solid.

We began with appetizers, and the pimento cheese lived up to expectations. I considered ordering the deviled egg but decided against it after reading reviews mentioning the $4.50 price point for half an egg.

For my entrée, I ordered the burger and fries. The fries were great- crispy and well-seasoned. The burger was good, though not exceptional. I’ve had better burgers at Muss & Turner and Stockyard Burgers & Bones.

Tip: watch for unannounced up-charges. My companion accepted a few server suggestions without realizing they came at an additional cost. For instance, we discovered only when reviewing the bill that a large ice cube added a dollar to the drink price. It would have been nice if these charges should be mentioned upfront.

Since this meal was largely covered by American Express’s Resy benefit, I was satisfied with the overall value and would return when using the credit. However, if paying out of pocket, I’d likely visit for only drinks rather than a full meal.

We had a fine meal here. The food was very good and beautifully prepared. The wine was good. I even liked their espresso martini, though I am not big on vodka, the coffee was strong in it so it overpowered the liquor taste quite well.

Go somewhere else…I was so excited to check this place out because the ambiance looked so awesome from the pictures. It was one disappointment after another…
1) I work in a very cold office building, I’m used to cold. The A/C inside was so intense I couldn’t even sit inside. It had to be like 60° inside. Luckily the weather was nice to sit outside but there’s nothing special about the outdoor seating area.
2) This is completely my fault but it was still off putting. I was meeting a friend for a casual catch up…so we decided to just grab a couple small bites to share. I chose the lobster roll sliders and at a glance at the “starters” section of the menu I thought it was $13 (see picture of menu, it’s a little misleading)…You can imagine my shock when I got the bill and my appetizer was $70! I asked the waitress and she pointed out to me that I misread the menu and that the prices was listed as “market” for the cost of the lobster. Even if I had noticed that the price was listed as “mkt” I would never expected an appetizer slider to be $70.
3) I don’t mind paying for good food. I could’ve shrugged off the absurd $70 appetizer if it had been good but it wasn’t. I had to keep pulling lobster shell out of my mouth because it wasn’t completely cleaned of the shell. I kept apologizing to my friend for pulling pieces of shell out of my mouth with every bite of the lobster slider. I ended up sending half of it back and not saying anything because again… I thought it was $13. Had I known it was $70 I would’ve made them take it back and give me something different.
Overall bad experience

Some interesting reviews here.. I popped in for lunch before visiting the Sitka Store. I found it quite refreshing that the menu was elevated above the usual burgers, burgers, burgers often found in a district such as this one.

I thoroughly enjoyed the food and the staff member (Alexandra?) was ever so charming. She mentioned she was moving on due to a location change. The best of luck!

I would certainly recommend.

Cozy intimate restaurant with a nice central bar and good decor. Noise level was okay even at full capacity.
The food was okay, steak tartare and fried chicken salad the highlight. The short ribs were served cold and the greens were too salty.
Our waiter was extremely inexperienced, he didn’t budge at my comment about the greens being too salty, interrupted us while still eating to ask about desserts and forgot to bring the fried tomatoes.

Cute, fancy and delicious food! Enjoyed the Fried Green Tomatos and they were able to accommodate my non-daily needs (thank you so much) and the Salmon Entree. Most of the menu contains dairy but every sounded, looked and smelled delicious.

Definitely add to your list to visit. We did not have a reservation, but they were able to accommodate a table of 5 with not much wait. Our server Erin was awesome and was able to fully describe each item asked about. Choices tonight were the Blackened Halibut BLT, fried chicken sandwich, shrimp and grits, and the Korean Braised short ribs. Appetizers were the pimento cheese, deviled eggs, and fried green tomatoes. There was nothing that was not great. Definitely recommend. Enjoy.
