Great spot for dim sum in Long Island! The selection is wide, everything tastes fresh, and the portions are generous. I ordered siu mai, chicken feet (both classic and herbal), black pepper short ribs, roasted pigeon, and the seafood pot — the seafood pot was huge and only $12, even came with rice! Great value and the takeout is just as good. Definitely coming back!

This restaurant truly captures the spirit of Cantonese morning dim sum — slow, relaxing, and full of comforting flavors.

The dim sum cart service is wonderful and reminds me of traditional tea houses back home. The classics like har gow, siu mai, spare ribs, and chicken feet were all fresh, flavorful, and well-made. The century egg & pork congee was warm, smooth, and very comforting.

I also ordered the $98 Elegant Cantonese Set Menu, which felt just like adding a few more dishes during family morning tea:
• Ginger & Scallion Lobster – fresh, fragrant, perfectly cooked
• Salt & Pepper Squid – crispy outside, tender inside
• Seafood Tofu Pot – silky tofu with rich seafood flavor
• Garlic Snow Pea Leaves – clean and refreshing

Desserts like coconut pudding, osmanthus jelly, egg tart, and taro puff were excellent as well.

Authentic Cantonese Dim Sum & Cuisine

The menu has many offerings and the food is good. The push carts came by and you can choose what looks good or order from the picture menu.

PROS
1) spacious venue with booth seating
2) BYOB for a $15 cork fee
3) reasonable prices
4) good selection of entrees
5) dim sum comes out steaming hot
6) 5% cash discount

CONS
1) boring beer choices (Tsing Tao, Heineken, & Corona). Add Hoegaarden & Bavarian Weihenstephan
2) waiters were not that alert. Service could improve a bit

Venue has BIG potential. Definitely worth a visit…

One of my go-to spots for classic Cantonese dim sum in NYC. Traditional push-cart style with lots of options, everything we ordered was solid. Portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and the vibe feels very authentic. It does get busy on weekends, but the wait moves pretty fast. Definitely worth it for a proper dim sum experience.

Great atmosphere, huge portions, and incredibly fresh lobster! The space is perfect for family gatherings. Service was excellent—very attentive, even changing our plates several times. Highly recommended!

I’d recommend the chicken feet, sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaf, durian pastry, and the salted egg custard buns. The shrimp rice rolls, however, were stuck together and the sauce wasn’t quite sweet enough. The beef tripe with turnip was also a bit watered down. Overall, some standout dishes with a few misses.

I live in Houston and was in town for work. Even though it was dinner time, I wanted some dim sum. I found Royal Dim Sum and decided to give it a try.

Once you enter the restaurant, you can see it is new and very clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful and I was seated immediately and brought out some hot tea. They have a Dim Sum menu, but not all items are available after 3 pm. However, the main staples of Dim Sum are there and that is what I was looking for. They also have a full menu of Chinese dishes and I opted for some stir-fried Chinese broccoli.

While the food does not come out right away, you can tell it was all made fresh when it does, and that is what I prefer instead of food that has been sitting and reheated. The food itself is delicious and I was not expecting great Dim Sum outside of
Chinatown. My teacup was never empty because they refilled it as soon as they saw it was low. Great service!

I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone wanting authentic Chinese food and Dim Sum.

It’s great to finally have a place to enjoy dim sum without needing to go all the way to Flushing. The restaurant appears nicely decorated and fairly upscale, but the overall setup could use improvement — for example, a large trash bin was placed in the middle of the walkway, and utensils were stored rather haphazardly on shelves.

One detail that concerned me was seeing a server handle the trash bin while wearing gloves and then serve food without changing them. That affected my dining experience.

The presentation of the dishes was actually quite appealing, but the service and hygiene could definitely be more refined. I hope the management will focus more on staff training and attention to detail. Wishing the business continued growth and improvement.

Had lunch on a Monday afternoon and absolutely love this new Cantonese restaurant in Westbury! Very authentic Hong Kong-style menu with a wonderful assortment of dim sum items. Shrimp Dumpling was fresh and sweet, Pork Shui Mai topped with Abalone was awesome, Beef Ball served with Worcestershire Sauce was moist and fragrant, Steamed Spare Ribs with Pumpkin was tasty, and Taro Puff with Pork was deliciously flaky and light. Beef Chow Fun was perfectly dry-fried with its rice noodles neither sticky nor greasy. It had a wonderful smoky flavor with its crispy bean sprouts and yellow chives. Service was quick and attentive. Thank you Royal Dim Sum for the royal experience!
