I rarely feel the need to call a manager over when I’m dining out but today was one of those days. My server, Juliana, kept rushing through my service and several things were not correct or done with my order to the point I finally had to ask if she was new. Not surprisingly, she was, so I understood a little better the dynamic, but it was a very disappointing experience being it was my first time here.
I was looking over the menu when she brought the drink and immediately asked if I was ready to order. I wasn’t ready yet but was when she came back. I ordered a beef and cheese enchilada with charro beans, jalapeños, cilantro and a water. She came back with my meal and asked if I needed anything else but I didn’t receive the cilantro and jalapeños so she brought those back. Then I noticed it had refried beans instead of charro so she corrected that. Then I started eating the enchiladas and noticed I had a chicken instead of cheese enchilada, so then she corrected that and I asked for the water as well. Visibly showing frustration, she came back with the check and said no rush. She didn’t ask how the food was at all before that time, and I probably wouldn’t have either given the amount of issues that occurred. When I looked over my check, I was charged for two drinks instead of one AND for the cheese enchilada. At that point, I decided to call for the manager.
The manager was very courteous and understanding of the situation. I simply wanted her to know my concerns and a potential way to help the server slow down and repeat the order to avoid this happening again. The manager corrected the check and I still tipped over 20% regardless, but I had to wait almost 10 minutes after that just for her to come pick up my check with the money.
I’m not sure if I’ll visit again since I don’t live in the area, but the food was decent and the manager was nice.

Jason is the BEST server. He really makes my dining experience amazing. I love the fajita nachos. The fresh chips and salsa is the best in town. I can’t wait to come back again.

However, the kitchen staff did not pay attention to the order AND tried to cover it up and pull a fast one.
Ordered an enchilada plate with chili gravy instead of normal enchilada sauce. Brought this to the attention of the server, and they took the plate and returned the same plate with chili gravy over the enchilada sauce.
Not a good look Garcia’s. Get to eight the first time or own the mistake and correct it. Trying to literally “cover it up” is not good business.
All that said, food is always good but the service on this one was very subpar.

Been going to Garcia’s for roughly 30 years, in my opinion it’s the very best Mexican food you can get at a restaurant. The food is always very good, the service is always quick, and the servers have always been very polite. Highly recommend!

The hostess Mikayla started off friendly but turned out to be very rude and inconsiderate
I was with my elderly and disabled sister and there were no tables available only one that is for a bigger party. There were only 3 of us. When I asked the hostess for the 2nd time if we could just sit there she snapped at and said very rudely “no! You’ll just need to wait”!! I could have easily walked away and gone somewhere else but my sister traveled from Round Rock to come visit me and have lunch there. When I asked for management she rolled her eyes, went to the back not really talking to anyone and came and sat us down.
She wasted 20minutes of my lunch break

We love this place!!! Our sever Justin was next level. HE really took the time to help us order the perfect meal. The homemade tortillas and world class food is a flavor explosion. The manager even stopped by to check on our experience. We will definitely return soon.

In general, we enjoyed our first trip to Garcia’s. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and our server accommodated our “salsa problem” (basically, we believe salsa should be its own food category, or at least reclassified as a “soup”).
At any rate, the chips and salsa were constantly refilled for us, but the salsa was just okay. It tastes good, but there is definitely nothing unique about it, and they chose to stay on the conservative side, regarding the amount of spice (unfortunate… we’re in TX!)
My simple taco plate was great. I really enjoyed it. My wife’s fajita salad, however, was honestly pretty bland. The chicken either needs to marinate longer, or more seasoning needs to be used before it can be called “fajita” chicken.
Again, great service. Also, great guacamole. Everything else was standard TexMex.

I orders 4 bean and cheese tacos to go. I waited 25 minutes to get them and they cost over 14 dollars which I thought is pricy for small not mini tacos. A man orders lots of big plates 10 minutes after me and he got served first. It seemed like no one was responsible for the to go orders. They did taste good so I give the kitchen 5 stars.

I’ve been going to Garcias for years today, November 7 around 12:15. I ordered the daily special today was three tacos of pasta with grilled onions, ranchero beans, and a side of rice with a sweet tea. I didn’t eat nothing prior. I’m sick right now throwing up just got a hold of the health department. This has never happened. I hope this issue is addressed right away.
