One does not often find oneself pleasantly surprised by establishments of such modest pretensions. Yet, I must admit the cuisine presented at this establishment was… quite commendable. The flavors were bold without resorting to vulgar excess, and the presentation suggested a care that is far too rarely observed in eateries of this nature.
The staff conducted themselves with a measure of attentiveness that did not presume familiarity, an admirable quality. The atmosphere, while not opulent, was sufficiently comfortable for one of discerning taste.
In short, a most satisfactory experience. I am compelled to recommend it, though I caution that only those capable of appreciating the finer subtleties of cuisine will truly benefit.

Amazing service, we were slightly disappointed in a meal we have ordered my whole life. We let them know it wasn’t up to their normal standards. They let us know they had a new cook and then brought us out a new order. It was the best I’ve seen in a long time! Best half shells ever!

Tried another new Mexican restaurant this evening over at Ganzos north of Kimberly St in Davenport. Ok food, good service, clean establishment and easy parking.

Portion sizes are very decent and prices are super cheap. Definitely worth checking out. Good food but nothing extraordinary.

Well, my family and I were visiting relatives in Iowa. We are from Texas and have Tex-Mex and lots of Authentic Mexican food options. So, for us to go as far north as Iowa, we were not expecting it to be glorious. However, we were surprised and it was actually pretty good. The queso blanco was great, however the yellow queso tasted like off brand velveta and some salsa tossed it. It was just gross.
The taco bas was nice, if offered good food, at an all you can eat price. With a 15 year old who loves tacos, and I have seen him eat 13 in one sitting, he stopped at 4. The food was just okay and nothing that you would crave to have more of.
This is a favorite place for our 87 year old grandma and will be the only reason we return when in town.

First Hawkeye game the restaurant was a vibe. Our waitress Aliyah (I don’t think I spelled her name right) gave us the best service I have ever received. I hope she is our waitress everywhere I go. She definitely deserves a raise as her customer service is on point. The food was also bomb!

Pros: The service was good and I enjoyed the chips and salsa. I also liked the hot sauce. Cons: the food was very plain. The chimichanga was literally just chicken in a fried shell. The fish tacos came with little in the tortilla, and you couldn’t really taste the chipotle–very little slaw too.

Our family has been coming here for over 30 years. We always loved the food and service. Today I felt taken advantage of. Three of us asked for a few slices of avocado on the side and we were charged $10.50!!! Avocados cost less than a dollar and I can guarantee with the small servings we were given it totaled no more than 1 avocado altogether. I didn’t think it was right to treat your customers this way.
