I just happened to be in the area and I was a little lost where to go and as I was browsing the neighborhood online, I noticed this place had consistent great reviews! I’m glad I decided to stop by. I happened to walk in on a comedy event, which was fun! I had the Cod sandwich which was very delicious and left me wanting more!!! Unfortunately, I came in on a night with a limited menu due to the event, I actually came in thinking to get some steak and eggs, but I’m still happy with my meal and the night! I would definitely come back again!! The owner is a very nice guy and does a great deal in the kitchen! Hats off to the chef! All while he also kept a full bar open! The drinks, food, and laughs were great! 9/10

This is the BEST food I’ve had from a restaurant so far in my life. I’m very picky since I’m a great home cook. I couldn’t believe how flavorful everything was. This was about 2 weeks ago, I had just been to the dentist next door and saw the restaurant on my way out. I went in and the server that took my order was so nice. She could tell I was in pain from the dentist and was very sweet. I ordered take out for myself and my husband. He got the shepherd’s pie which I ate half of because it was just so delicious… Real potatoes. I got the pulp pork sandwich and the Mac and cheese. It was actually just as good as my Mac and cheese. If not better because the penne made the cheese stick nicely. My photos aren’t very good because we had already started eating and I was hungry. We are actually going back there today for lunch! I have been telling everybody how great the food is. And I highly recommend !

I had the Buffalo chicken sandwich with glazed carrots for lunch. Absolutely DELICIOUS! My mother had mashed potatoes with her entree and I couldn’t stop eating them. Run…don’t walk, for an amazing and reasonably priced meal. The music was great too. ✌

This place is just wonderful!! We aren’t from the area and saw this place had great reviews and thought “why not”? But the guy working the drinks and food is just awesome. He’s sweet, patient and our food was AMAZING. We were pleasantly surprised and can’t wait to come back again. Hope all is well for y’all and that business continues to thrive!

Overview: Ganymead is a gold nugget of a hole in the wall in Manchester. Seemingly run all from just one man, you can’t help but feel like you’re eating with family when the food tastes like home. Though appearances may not be classy or upscale, it’s a perfect place for a casual space. The music playlist is great, not too loud either, and you never feel rushed! Sit back, eat and enjoy the company you are with like you’re at home.
Food:
– As I mentioned before, it tastes like home. I feel like every dish was made with that extra sprinkle of love.
– Though we had a party of 4, not all of the food was hot hot (you can only do so much as one person! I get it!) but was perfect for me.
– I got the mac and cheese pasta with bbq chicken (instead of buffalo). The cheese was fresh, full of flavor, and spiced nicely. Would definitely get this again!
– Servings are very large, unless you’re starving, get ready to take leftovers home :).
Drinks:
– Just got water so can’t comment.
Service:
– As mentioned before, for one person he did a fantastic job! Waited us nicely and properly, it kind of felt like it was straight out of Ratatouille.
Misc:
– There is local art all around and is nice to see! I unfortunately didn’t take a photo of them, but they definitely will get you to stop and take a look!

We had read a good review and we’re driving through Hartford on our way to Rhode Island and found Ganymede. Wow!
The food was exceptional- very homemade and tasty and made to order. We had Shepherds Pie & Tarragon Chicken with Maple Glazed Carrots and Mac & Cheese. All great. We could not stop eating and the portions were very healthy. The Chef is very friendly and committed to serving comfort food in a personal way.

It was hard to NOT give this place all 5☆s. CLASSY COMFORT FOOD nails it! My Bridge partner Maria & I came to chow down & listen to Bruce John Music & stories. A completely all star package. I had been hearing good things about Ganymead for a while. My wife and I finally got around to going and we were not disappointed. The food was very good and extremely tasty. I had the shepherd’s pie and my wife had the fish and chips. We had expected burgers and other similar “pub fare”; and while they do have sandwiches, most of the menu is for main course entrees – all of which sounded delicious. The owner / chef was very friendly and attentive. We will be going back.
