What a diamond in the rough! You would never think a quality restaurant like this would be just across the highway from a truck stop. Great food and a cool story about the family that started the restaurant. Best pizza we’ve had in a long time and the homemade tiramisu was amazing as advertised.

Galati’s is a cute hole in the wall kind of a place. My friend and I stopped by wanting to try something new. Don’t be fooled! It looks like the prices should match the size of the building, but it is in fact quite an expensive little joint. There is really nothing on the menu cheaper than $15- $17. With the exception of dessert, that was $5- $6. The food for the most part was tasty, nothing was so wonderful that I HAVE to go back again, but good enough that I probably will go back to try something else. No one else was in the restaurant when we arrived, but throughout our meal we saw several others come in and a million take out orders. The staff was friendly and the head chef even came out to see how we were enjoying the meal.

For dine-in non-pizza orders this place is ok but a bit on the expensive side. There are only about eight tables, but never seen it too crowded. But I’m attaching a pic of two slices of the 18″ pepperoni, sausage, tomato, and onion pizza we got yesterday. It looks pretty sad with not enough toppings for the size of the pizza. This pizza cost almost $30 and it looked like this all over. Unfortunately, this is the second time we have gone there because we were giving them the benefit of the doubt, but it will also be our last time buying their pizza.

This is a small restaurant with a very welcoming feel. The food is authentic and delicious, wonderfully cheerful waitstaff and nice music playing. There are so many tasty options on the menu we had a hard time selecting. The fresh made pizza is great! Our younger children gobbled it up! Everyone enjoyed the homemade bread they served before the meal. I personally loved the salad. Super fresh with a homemade dressing! Fabulous! The pricing is on the high side, but the dishes are made fresh to order with a quality that reflects the pricing. Good portion sizes as well. When we are in the area again, this is a “must stop” for us!

The seafood pasts was the best I have ever had. The chicken fettucine was so good. The food is made perfect and I love the house salad. Just as good or better than any restaurant on the hill. Make reservations on Friday and Saturday (during the week they are not needed). The owner is really nice.

The food we ate here was absolutely delicious! My husband and I both enjoyed our dishes immensely. It was, however, quite pricy, at least for us. It cost us about $40 for the two of us. I’m taking a star off because for that price I wanted a little more of an Italian atmosphere. The food definitely tasted italian, but inside the building itself, it was not. I would have enjoyed some Italian music at the very least.

First off this place doesn’t look like much from the outside. In side it is very cozy maybe 10 tables, nice atmosphere. Better make a reservation on the weekends.
This was our first time here. I ordered Chicken parm, and my wife had the eggplant parm both were very good. Salads were good; the only thing that wasn’t good was the fried calamari. It came out late the seasonings were good but the calamari was tough. Service was good and they took care of us on the bill because of the calamari. We will defiantly be back , great pasta and sauce.

This is our favorite restaurant and we have all our family celebration dinners at Galati’s. The staff has excellent service. We love the authentic Italian cuisine. Try the California pizza and the tiramisu and the calzones and the tortellini and the spinach bacon salad and the ……….

Way overpriced, no beer selection (only bottles of bud), canned soda, grainy fettuccine sauce, zero salad dressing options. No kids menu. Cost’s extra for a few pieces of bread, extremely greasy pizza. The pizza is overall pretty good, but you have to hold each piece of to drip the grease off, then use a napkin on it. WAY over hyped, 2 adults one child, 69 dollars without tip. Better Italian options out there, even close by.

Definitely didn’t expect the best Italian food I’ve ever had to be served at a restaurant in the middle of nowhere. I could have filled up on the bread alone. They were pretty busy but the service was still excellent. Will definitely have to stop by again before we leave Missouri!
