I do like all of the very colorful lamps in here.

Mutabbel (baba ghanouj made with yogurt), Hummus, Gavurdag salad, 3 in 1 mix, Tavuk Shish Kebap, 2 Mercimek lentil soup, gozleme with cheese. $106.89

They are out of spinach and cheese one. They are also out of the ezme, it’s a hot sauce.

The food all comes out quickly.

The lentil soup is very watery, not chunky, tomato based broth, wasn’t sure there was any lentil in it, it’s just okay. Definitely a different taste than I expected.

The bread that comes with the lentil soup reminds me of focaccia bread. The bread does get hard quickly. It’s good with the hummus and the Mutabbel while it’s soft.

The salad is completely topped with crushed walnuts, a lot of nuts. It’s a sweet salad since, as it has pomegranate seeds throughout, rather sweet and unique. My hubby liked it a lot, it was a tad too sweet for me.

The hummus is good, they drizzle the chili oil over it.

Mutabbel is really good, still has the Smokey flavor I expect, the yogurt adds good flavor to it.

The Turkish orange tasted like an odd Fanta.

The chicken kafta is moist, not over grilled, some gristly pieces in mine. It’s not too bad.

The 3 in 1 mix was decent.

The bulgur is flavorful, tomato based flavoring, reminds me of the Spanish rice some.

The Gozleme was essentially a quesadilla, cheese was crumbly and a different texture. It was underwhelming for me.

I told a staffer the women’s bathroom needs some attention. Toilets are a mess, TP everywhere, it was hard to decide which bathroom stall looked less disgusting.

A party of 40 people were arriving as we were wrapping up our meal.

Everything was absolutely delicious, and the service was really nice. We tried the mixed grill, lahmacun, and kelle paça çorba, and everything was so flavorful and well prepared. We also had dessert and Turkish coffee to finish, and they were amazing. The staff was friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely a place I’d recommend and would happily visit again!

Galata Turkish Cuisine offers a wonderful dining experience. The food is fresh, flavorful, and authentically prepared — from appetizers to desserts, everything tastes homemade. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a cozy Turkish touch that makes you feel at home. The staff is attentive, friendly, and always ready to help. A great place for both family gatherings and casual meals. Highly recommended!

Galata Cuisine continues to stand out with its unique flavors every time I visit, making it a strong contender for a top-tier restaurant. The staff is exceptionally friendly and encouraged us to try their new desserts. When you visit, make sure not to miss out on the desserts—they are truly delightful.

We tried the mixed grill, hummus, künefe, and tea. The mixed grill and dessert were spot on. The kebabs were incredibly juicy and packed with authentic Turkish flavor. They gave us a complimentary dessert called Sekerpare and it was absolutely delicious! Did not get to take a picture of Sekerpare because we devoured it. Highly Recommend.

I had lunch at Galata Sweets Sterling Heights today and it was an excellent experience! The food quality was outstanding — the Adana Kebab was juicy and flavorful, and the Kabuli Pulao was perfectly cooked and aromatic. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and the prices were reasonable for the portion sizes. Honestly, the service and quality exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended!

What a wonderful stop in this world food tour! Had a great conversation with the proprietor about the food and story behind the restaurant. He said we would enjoy the meat especially and he was accurate. This will be in the regular rotation to explore the rest of the menu!

Went to check out Galata based off a friends recommendation.

I have had a Turkish coffee before but never tried the cuisine, my friend suggested we just trust the people and ask for a meal. I’m here to tell you I was not prepared for what happened!

Hussein our server was friendly personable, and welcoming! I ordered a coffee and cream soda, then asked for him to bring us what he would eat. AMAZING customer service!

As we were chatting and enjoying our drinks he started bringing the food out(10 minutes tops). He brought a fresh loaf of Bread, tabouli salad, Lahmacun(Turkish flatbread pizza, with veggies), a 3 meat platter off the grill(beef, lamb, chicken, grilled vegetables). He then explained how to enjoy everything the traditional way, and answered any questions we had…after we were satiated he even offered us desert(a fresh baked pistachio baklava with tasty goat cheese ice cream and crushed pistachios to top), I’m surprised we also had leftovers from dinner too!!!

The flavors were so awesome, everything was fresh crisp and delicious!

The atmosphere was very casual and relaxed, they had some soft music playing(they also have live music on the weekend). The decor was vibrant and warm.

The bill was very reasonable for the amount of food we received! And he didn’t want me to tip, but I insisted.

If you want a loving Halal meal in a welcoming establishment I will always recommend you try Galata!!!
