Capturing another fun market with delicious and custom created sandwiches and other divine dishes. We custom ordered and shared a pesto-pork sandwich on a foot long ciabatta bun while hearing a fascinating story about eating out in Italy (there are “food police” who ask for receipts to make sure it’s all “kosher” for tax purposes). Wonderful employees (owners?) who were happy to create whatever we wanted; a sweet, quaint atmosphere and delicious food with fun, unique foods and other purchasable products such as gourmet chocolates, kitchen gadgets and ready-made foods like pasta salad, egg salad and clean salamis (no nitrates). Definitely worth going to!

Was enjoying my sandwich until I realized they hadn’t even rinsed the lettuce due to the bugs on it. Approached server about it and they didn’t even try to resolve the issue. Don’t think I will be back.

Loved Gaetanos! Lots of delicious treats ready to eat or to bring home to cook. Beautiful wine selection and Italian deli meats and cheeses. Wonderful staff. 10/10 in my book from someone who is almost always dissapointed in what passes for Italian cuisine/wines/products out.

I was so thrilled to find a new market with different cuisine in town. I HAD to try their fresh pasta. I was impressed. The portion was so much bigger than I thought! They have an amazing selection of oils and sauces and spices and homemade fresh foods. You can get a sandwich or sausage for a meal right there or snag a lasagna to bake at home for dinner. I will be going back for more pasta!

We had a quick lunch and the sandwiches were tasty. However, when we asked for the portion difference based on the pricing $15 vs. $9, the half was described as big, but really wasn’t. We didn’t believe $9 for the half was a good value.

Don’t write many reviews, but want to say, stopped in to Gaetano’s for a sandwich to go while passing through Astoria. Ordered the Italian. Best sandwich I’ve had in years. Simple and fresh….Nice people. I’ll be bak.

Super good. Fresh made sandwiches, been here 3 times in a week and each sandwich is a work of art. Meatball sub sells out often, its obvious why.

My family really enjoyed everything we ordered here, which is a rarity in this picky family. The two workers were very friendly and accommodating toward my family. Will come back next time we visit Astoria.
