I went to Gaetano’s for the first time this past week. I was talking to a coworker recently about how no place in CT can make a decent chicken cutlet let alone sandwich. I’m originally from Long Island so as you know if you’re from NY that it’s like night and day when it comes to subs or sandwiches. My coworker insisted I try Gaetanos and that I wouldn’t be disappointed. She was not only 100% right about the chicken cutlet and sandwiches but also the staff was 12/10. It’s rare to find a deli with incredible food and incredible staff. Everyone was so kind and generous and made you feel right at home. I will definitely be telling everyone about this place. My dog Jaymo also gives it 5 stars

Amazing food! Great quality – no cheap products. And the customer service is spectacular. The manager, Michael, is always very attentive and personable. He remembers everyone’s name and will always make time to engage in conversation despite how busy they are!!! Awesome staff – all the workers are kind and pleasant.

Excellent Customer Service all around! I was the first customer there in the morning and they gave me free grinder rolls with my order! Free! I felt fantastic! That young man made my day! I had to call and thank him for their old school customer service. I love their fresh made pasta salads!!!

The best legit, real Itaian deli. I mean, these guys singing every word to the music to slicing fresh loaf of bread. What a treat that you just can’t pass up when you’re in town. We got the steak and cheese and godfather Itaian. These did NOT disappoint. Everyone who works there is off the charts friendly, helpful, and simply love what they do. We will definitely be back, no doubt about it.

Good Italian hero’s, the only negative thing I can say is they no longer use Italian bread for the sandwich’s, they are a smaller very soft supermarket roll type bread. I use to enjoy a seeded semolina bread on my hero, but the food & service are the same!

There was two Italian guys that use to work at the Stratford location about a year ago since they left seems like the Italian spirit is gone,The vibe in this deli is lost. The food is still great but the vibe those two Italian guys brought is lost completely.
