This was our first time having the boq shrimp sweet potato pie and oh my, it was so good!! The oysters were really good too but the pie is the star appetizer.
The fish came out a bit undercooked which they fixed pretty quickly. It was very tasty and with the biggest lump crab cake ever that had a deliciously paired sauce with it. The decor is very Nola: warm, inviting, a bit eclectic but still in a relaxed, elegant way. The service was great too!

This was a memorable dinner for me. As the server for the evening, Rosiland (or Rosalind – as I’m borrowing the spelling from the check) set the tone for what was to follow. She was so kind and engaged so easily in helping me find my journey across the menu. As many reviews already called out, I can attest that the BBQ Shrimp Pie was life changing. No review can do it justice. If you’re not allergic to shellfish, just do it and enjoy the reward. I’ll be bringing friends and family back for certain.

My friend and I went here for dinner tonight. The beet salad was very good and my duck was excellent. Our waiter was nice but the woman or brought our food wasn’t friendly and made us feel a little rushed. The atmosphere is nothing special. The food at this restaurant is good but I’ve had other good food at better restaurants in New Orleans. Apparently this place is known for their gumbo. It didn’t impress me. I think the gumbo at Commander’s Palace is better. This is a good restaurant, but not exceptional.

Very cosy and welcoming restaurant with very attentive waiting staff.
My partner had fish which was quite burnt and I had the squash spaghetti which was ground fried squash, but not pasta. Desserts were lovely. Overall a nice experience and amazing ambience.

Quite refined dining with friendly and enthusiastic service, everything the 3 of us ordered was marvelous, my favorites were the shrimp pie, seafood gumbo, and the raviolis that came with the veal roulade, one of the better crème brûlée’s ever.. Yummy warm bread also. I will definitely return. Worth the finer dining price point. Tasteful welcoming decor, colorful music posters and ambient lighting too.

An excellent place to feel at home and eat delicious cajun cuisine. The service was friendly and unpretentious. It felt like being in someone’s home who knows how to cook really amazing food. Everything we ate was not only tasty but cooked to perfection. I loved the fact that it was in an area that, as a tourist, I wouldn’t typically have had on my radar. I loved my experience and would absolutely recommend Gabrielle to anyone visiting New Orleans.

What an incredible restaurant.
I love the exterior vibe of the aesthetic. Inside, it felt very warm and cozy. Like your favorite neighborhood spot.
The food here is insane. Everything I ordered tasted so fresh and you can tell they have amazing cooks here because the food was prepared so well.
Don’t skip desserts when you visit. If they have the white chocolate pound cake, you must order it.
