Gaberino’s Homestyle Italian is a family-owned, local restaurant serving the Norman community since 2010. We make everything from scratch, sometimes according to family recipes, and you’ll love our friendly & welcoming atmosphere. We take pride and care in offering gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, and low-carb options. We offer seasonal specials and a full bar, including craft cocktails, local beer and Italian wine. Come dine with us – on the patio when the weather is nice, in our bar watching your favorite sporting event or in our comfortable dining room. You can also order carry out from our regular menu or from our take and bake selections. In addition we offer catering and 3rd party delivery. We look forward to serving you!

Excellent food, attentive service, cozy and convenient for a leisurely lunch with friends. I had the salmon ravioli (a special) which was a perfect portion. One friend had lasagna (with a generous portions taken home,) the other a meatball sandwich and salad combo. Everyone was happy with there food ( although the meatballs were reported to be a little overcooked). The desserts looked fantastic but none of us had room to try any. Will definitely be back!

I rarely write reviews. This place is awful. I ordered the Chicken Picana. Awful. The chicken was most definitely cooked at an earlier time, microwaved, and then pan seared again at the time of service. Canned artichoke hearts, mushrooms and capers. The noodles and sauce were absolutely flavorless. The garlic bread was either stale or way too crunchy.
I can’t remember the last time I didn’t finish my plate at a restaurant or take it to go.
Others had the spaghetti and meatballs (flavorless meatballs and flavorless tomato sauce), chicken Alfredo (chicken definitely not fresh, flavorless sauce), and pizza (greasy). The pizza was the best dish and was subpar at best.
Not a single person finished their meal or took it to go.
Service was subpar. There were 6-8 total tables in there at 7pm on a Saturday, and service was slow and inattentive.
Bathrooms were gross. I can only imagine how unclean the kitchen is. Every 4 or 5 star review has either extremely low standards, or they’re fake reviews. I would eat at Fazolis fast food over this place 10/10 times.
You can tell what the quality of a restaurant is right when you walk inside the doors. We should’ve trusted our intuition and left before being seated.

Driving around after church, my Bride very hungry and not knowing what to eat…we passed by Gaberino’s and decided to try it out.
I am glad we did!
Wait time to be seated: immediately.
Jeremy was at our table within seconds of us being seated. Jeremy was kind and knowledgeable.
I ordered a Strawberry Italian soda and the Chicken with Cheese (ricotta).
The food came out fresh, well cooked and seasoned perfectly!
My Bride was happy.

My daughter took me to dinner at this family owned restaurant in Norman and I absolutely loved it! We sat in the bar area at a two top and it was perfect, great service very attentive. We had the baked ziti and I added meatballs and fresh basil to mine. My daughter had the chicken Parmesan with pink sauce, which is super yummy and our appetizer, we had the spinach artichoke dip. (I’m a snob about restaurant spinach dip because they normally use frozen spinach. Gabrielino does not everything is fresh and it was to die for.) we finished with a homemade Italian cream cake and it was moist and flavorful. The restaurant was full of locals, and there was prom going on, so there was lots of young teens dressed up, which I thought was very special.

My husband and I got married Sept. 6th 2025 in Luther, OK, and Gaberino’s catered our wedding. Highly recommend for catering, or even a sit down dinner in the restaurant. The owners were so gracious and very communicative through the whole process. The food was delicious, and we had plenty of leftovers! Thank you so much!

I had high hopes for this Italian restaurant, but unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. The ambiance was charming enough, but the real letdown came when the food and drinks hit the table.
To put it simply, the food was bland. The pasta, which should have been rich and flavorful, tasted like it came straight from a box and was drowned in a lifeless, under-seasoned sauce. Even the garlic bread was uninspired, lacking the buttery punch and fresh herbs you’d expect.
As for the drinks, I ordered a cocktail that was supposedly a house specialty. It arrived looking great, but tasted like juice—and not in a good way. If there was alcohol in it, it was completely undetectable. I double-checked with the server just to be sure I hadn’t been accidentally served a mocktail.
Service was decent, and the staff seemed friendly, but it wasn’t enough to salvage the overall experience. When dining at an Italian restaurant, you expect bold flavors and a good pour—this place delivered neither.
Rating: 2/5 — for the atmosphere and polite staff, but the kitchen and bar need serious improvement.

This was a good first time experience! The food was hot and fresh. The garlic cheese bread was really good. I had the fettuccine meatballs with Alfredo instead of Marinara sauce. It was delicious. The kids meals are a little pricey at $8 but they were at least decent portions. The waiter, Shawn, was pleasant and friendly. We will definitely go back again.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience here. We waited about 10 minutes just to be greeted by a server, which is frustrating when you walk in ready to enjoy a meal. After ordering, we needed drink refills and waited another 10 minutes before anyone checked on us.
I also ordered extra bread (which came with an additional charge), and after waiting another 10 minutes, it never came at all. If you’re going to charge extra for something, at the very least it should be delivered.
The lack of attentiveness and follow-through really ruined the experience. Communication and basic table service were seriously lacking. Unfortunately, because of the service alone, I will not be returning.

We were recommended to come here by a friend and I’m so glad they made the recommendation. Our waitress Kelly was phenomenal and she even complimented my crocs! We started with the stuffed mushrooms which were delicious. I ordered the Chicken Piccata which I really enjoyed. My boyfriend created his own pasta and ordered a chicken and shrimp fettuccine alfredo. Both pastas came with a slice of bread. Would definitely eat here again

I don’t know how long I’ve been driving by this place without stopping. Today, we got meatballs with pasta, chicken piccata , and shrimp scampi. This was absolutely delightful!
Pasta was unlike any I’ve had and impeccable. Meatballs were fantastic and adequately sized. Bread delicious.
