the restaurant is somewhat small and casual which was nice but also made it somewhat awkward if you sat in the walkway.
we started off with the onion rings and then ordered the eggplant parmesan, the stuffed bell pepper with pasta, trout with seafood on top, and finally shrimp and pasta. the portions were a good size but it lacked flavor. the cheese on the eggplant parmesan tasted prepackaged and there was a lack of flavor for the sauce. we have been to other italian restaurants which have a better flavor and better sauce. the fish with seafood and sauce was decent as was the stuffed bell pepper, but the accompanying pasta had minimal flavor and the shrimp and pasta also had minimal flavor.
overall a disappointing experience. decent portions but minimal taste of the food. the service was also not good and it was expensive so overall not worth it in my opinion
The crawfish bread was a standout, and it’s a fantastic alternative for those missing the Jazz Fest version. The kid’s hamburger plate, accompanied by French fries, was a hit, and they even provide individual hamburger patties for low carb/keto dieters.
The broiled speckled trout was cooked to perfection, and I highly recommend trying it. The homemade blue cheese dressing on the salad was exceptional, easily the best I’ve ever tasted.
Fury’s Restaurant also excels in Italian cuisine and fried seafood. Both options were excellent, but the true highlights of the menu are the crabmeat au gratin and the Trout Carrie. The generous fillet of speckled trout smothered in jumbo lump crab meat and butter sauce is an absolute delight.
Overall, Fury’s Restaurant is a must-visit. From the delightful crawfish bread to the mouthwatering seafood dishes and exceptional homemade blue cheese dressing, this restaurant offers a memorable dining experience that will leave you craving more.
Note: This review reflects my personal experience at Fury’s Restaurant and showcases the highlights of the menu in a concise manner.
Wow! Great food. I had a cup of gumbo and the Trout Carrie. So much jumbo crab on top the trout. OMG, so good!
The trout also came with a salad and a side. I had the potato salad, not picture. All were good. We also had some crawfish bread…..full of tails! Our server Nicky was on point. They also have daily specials like red beans and rice on Mondays.
The cocktails and wine were really good too. The bartender was really sweet and came over and made us a special drink.
