In short, fast food BBQ. Nothing special, nothing horrid, nothing particularly good.
From the moment you walk in you can tell that the place was possibly once a decent eatery but now it doesn’t seem to have been taken care of. The four picnic tables they have inside were still dirty from whenever someone last ate. Even the employees looked like they didn’t want to be there.
Ordered the St. Louis Ribs, Mac-n-cheese, Pickles, and the world’s hardest biscuit (possibly dented the table with it). When we questioned the biscuit, they offered a corn muffin instead (no apology) and then proceeded to check the rest of the biscuits and toss two trays of them out. The only decent thing was the sauce (which wasn’t all that great).
As we ate, the place just got more crowded. It seems they can’t handle high foot-traffic well.
Only came because there was a groupon. Will not be visiting this establishment again.

I ordered the rib platter. The meat was dry. The collards was ok not very flavorful. Nothing special about the sweet potato pudding. I did like the cornbread. The staff seemed clueless and were slow. I was there with a friend and her kid. There was 2 other people there on a Saturday at lunch time.

First review ever, I felt it necessary after the awesome sandwich I just had… Pulled pork sandwich with hot funnibonz BBQ sauce. Everything about it was incredible, highly recommend this gem. I was born in the south and know what BBQ is about, finally there is no need to drive 500miles for some good BBQ!!!

After reading an article in the newspaper about Funnibonz we decided to try in out. I was not impressed. The meat was cold, the brisket was not tender, they were out of ribs on a Friday night(which I thought was shocking for a BBQ restaurant)& the service was slow which is somewhat understandable since it has not yet been open a month yet. The BBQ sauce is good, but there was not even an aroma of smoking meat or BBQ which was very disappointing. It was just OK but not worth the wait, not sure if I would return.

Regular BBQ is too sweet but the Spicy was tasty.
Macaroni & Cheese was pretty good
Pulled Pork Sandwich (most of the meat was tender) but I bit into a hunk of burnt/dried meat). The bun fell apart about 1/2way through eating it.
Texas Brisket Sandwich (meat was dry)
Cinnamon apples did not taste any cinnamon
Fountain soda machine stopped making ice
They did not have butter for cornbread/biscuits
Cornbread was dry… biscuit under done.
If I were you, eat outside or take it to go!
We ate in… and we smell like we were working the smoker ourselves all day!!! We smell horrible.
Bring magnifying glass to figure out which sauce your using: the print is so small.
Need to refill sauces/napkins kept on table: and keep the lids clean.

Since my barbecue joint around my house closed I have been looking for another one. I heard about FunniBonz and gave it a try 7/25/15. The service was very poor. The caucasian lady with the glasses that helped me was very indifferent towards me and made feel like my business was not wanted or appreciated there. I guess I am going to keep looking for a barbecue place that will appreciate me as a customer. Needless to say I will not be back there.

Not too much to say. The food used to be really delicious. Some of the best bbq I have ever tasted. Me and my wife used to go there allllll the time. Now the service is very poor and it seems like everyone has a an attitude. & just like the previous posters stated they ran out of sauce, how could that happen or it should take a second to whip some up? I gave it another two tries myself and we had to wait so long and with no apologies. I don’t usually write reviews myself but I am extremely dissapointed at the current service.

The best BBQ sauce I’ve ever tasted hands down. My family found it at a local ShopRite and once we tasted it we went back the following day and purchased the only 5 left on the shelf. Sad to say we haven’t seen it back on the shelves, not many people know about the brand, maybe some commercials would do the job to get them back in stores. Its sweet and spicy kick does the job.

I met some women at the Grand Luxe Cafe, they asked did we ( me , my sister, and my son) like bar-b-que, we said yes. They told us to check out funnybonz…..well the next day i’m at Shoprite…….and bamm! I bought all the flavors and got a rain check! I made counrty style pork ribs. I LOVE LOVE this sauce! You have a new customer! Can’t wait to visit the restaurant..

They have really great bbq and had great service. My family surprised me there for my bday and the restaurant staff went over and beyond making it really special and accommodating us.
Not a lot of seating so might be best for takeout. Their coleslaw isn’t great but pretty much everything else was. Good pulled pork and tender yummy ribs!!
