They also allowed dogs on the patio which was perfect as I am traveling. Thank you
Food first:
The chicken tenders with tots (10/10) were the clear winner. Crispy, fresh, and honestly better than I expected—great portion and the tots were perfectly crunchy. The fried fish with tots (8/10) was also solid: nicely fried, served hot, and satisfying. For something lighter, we ordered the tuna salad (7/10). It was good and tasted fresh, but not a “wow” dish. I did appreciate that they replaced the side of rice with salad without any fuss, which was a nice touch if you’re trying to eat a bit lighter.
Vibe / atmosphere:
This place definitely has an energetic, lively atmosphere. In another room there was a party going on with drinks, dancing, and a live band performance, which was entertaining but also made the noise level in the dining area a bit high. It felt like most people were there for drinks and the hangout vibe, and the restaurant side is more casual than quiet or intimate.
Family-friendly notes:
They have separate kids items on the menu, and the seating setup included high chairs, which is helpful if you’re coming with children. There’s also a bar/drink service, so it’s still more of a fun social environment than a kid-focused family restaurant—but it’s doable for casual dining.
Extras:
There’s even a little shop inside selling things like swimwear and t-shirts, which is a cute bonus. And yes—there’s a pool. It was super cold (end of November!) and people were still using it at night… I honestly don’t think it was heated
Overall: great tenders, fun vibes, best for casual dining if you don’t mind noise and a strong drinks-first crowd.
I ordered Freddy’s Burger with a fried egg, and my wife went with the OG Sticky Rice Bowl. Both were fantastic, but the burger deserves special mention—it’s legitimately in the running for the best burger I’ve ever had. And I’ve eaten a lot of burgers in the name of research.
The service was spot-on, the atmosphere was relaxed but lively, and every dish that hit the table was better than the last. Honestly, the only complaint I have is that we didn’t order more food.
Someone should probably get Guy Fieri on the phone, because this place has Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives written all over it.
Tonight’s New Years special was seared, bone-in pork chop, collard greens, black eyed peas, smoked/datil cheddar cornbread, and triple berry chocolate layer cake, Delish!
Great for vegetarians and pescatarians, good prices, nice beer selection.
