Such a great place for a cup of joe and a bite to eat. While I was there a Dead cover band was setting up and the vibe was chill. Very friendly staff. I got a brie, bacon and apricot waffle. It and my coffee were excellent! When ordering food at a bar/dinner type place I don’t expect much from service. Thus the 4 stars is actually rather above and beyond. Very cool place and I will definitely be back.

It was popping when we went Sunday morning!! I can see why, the food is incredible. It’s a seat yourself deal, order at the counter and take out or sit. I got the classic brekkie with eggs, bacon and half a Whole Lotta Love. No regrets!!! Best waffles I’ve ever had. The yogurt with the fresh fruit was top tier. My boyfriend got the Tower and half the Lion Zion I think, and the Tower is a great sammich!! With a big mimosas we dug in, and I tell you what, its worth the long line (we probably came at the busiest time of the morning, tbf). Definitely would go again, and definitely recommend!!

Came here for chicken and waffles, left with regrets. The fried chicken was way too salty and the waffle had a chewy consistency you only get from a bulk mix. Also ordered a fried egg over medium and I’ve had hard boiled eggs that weren’t cooked as hard. We were literally the only customers and I couldn’t even get an egg cooked properly.
Looks like a nice venue for music but I can’t recommend it for the food. To add insult to injury you’re asked to tip out when you have to order at the counter, pick up your own food, and bus your own table.
The bathroom graffiti is spot on in this establishment.

Delicious and consistent. Fairly priced. I tend to order the same 2 things over and over again and they come out almost exactly the same everytime. The owner is often around and seems friendly enough.

This was an amazing Sunday brunch for us after a night out in Armory Square. The pitchers of mimosas were amazing and the waffles hit the spot. We could have gotten the halves and had plenty to eat.

Food – outstanding.

When coming here know this: paid parking across the street is nearly $13 – if for 8 hrs, there is no less. You can park on the street if you can find some.

When going in there are several doors. For music go to the left door. For food go to the right door.

You will find a cozy environment with lots of jazzy colors. Plain tables and menus. Their website is up to date and very clean. Inside the restaurant, you will not see the same. It’s down home.

The cashier takes your order, you seat yourself, and you get a buzzer to let you know to come get your food.

Water seems like it’s tap water from a lemonade type despenser. It does what you need. There is no ice in it. Again, you serve yourself.

The waffles come in two sizes, half and full. Prices are between 7 and 13$ – if I recall properly. I am adding photos of the menu here with current prices as of Aug 24th, 2025.

Loved the food. Got waffle fries and chicken tenders. They were delicious. Also got fried chicken and half waffle, and a Gouda cheese and herbs half waffle. Both were very good.

But! If I must say, when seeing everyone get the waffles with fruits, I could help to think that was what I should have ordered. It looked amazing.

The music from the other side was too overpowering and downright amateur, cotton balls, headphones, hearing protection inserts or anything like that would make it more pleasant. It was not good. It is what it is.

Come for the food though! It was quite delicious. It was a part of the diners dives and restaurants series with Guy F.

This was a great little breakfast. We were passing through a stopped for the pulled pork bbq waffle. It was indeed savory and flavorful. The scrambled eggs were not good. Blueberry pancakes were alright too. The vibe there was nice with some 70s/80s soul and funk music playing. The staff were kind and reasonable. I would come back again. Nutella latte was very good.

A group of 7 of us met on a Friday morning. Found paid but easy parking nearby and ordered with no wait. Our party had the strawberry and banana, jive turkey, the appeal corn dog waffle for my kids and I got the florentine. I asked for a side of salsa which they didn’t have but instead offered what they use for the topping of the falafel waffle. I think there was a miscommunication in my favor because instead of a little cup of chopped peppers and cucumbers for my waffle I basically got a nice and fresh side salad. All was delicious and I cannot forget to mention the Nutella latte. Go here! You will be full and satisfied.
