Friendly staff, you just came in, ordered your food and then waited in your car. I ordered the 4 chicken wing dinner with a side of Mac & cheese with rice & gravy. The chicken was juicy but lacked flavor. It was disappointing, the rice & gravy had no salt or flavor. It was bland. The mac & cheese was the best I would give it 4 out of 5 for that item but for almost $20 for a meal and based on recommendations. I felt disappointed and I could have gotten food elsewhere. Now I am willing to give this place another chance and try another item another time. The staff is fine for getting take out, I did see a closed off seating area and having the menu outside to view was great. Try this place & see for yourself how you feel.

We visited this restaurant while in town for a concert. They were very busy with customers. The food was good. Shout out to Mya! She was extremely busy with customers but did a great job maintaining an excellent level of customer service. I will definitely visit again when in the area.

I ordered her for the first time today with high expectations and wanting to support a black business. Unfortunately I was met with ignorance and disappointment. I waited for my order for an hour outside and eventually had to ask a staff about it to which she brought it out for me. Thankfully I check my orders because I was missing multiple things( 2 orders of cornbread, 1 order hush puppies and 1 Mac and cheese). I went it to ask and the young lady who first helped me was kind and got my order remade in its entirety because the bag with my sides in it was leaking unknown to me and fell outside in the parking lot. I waited for my order again and it was brought out by a different young lady with a honey blonde wig on. They were busy so I was understanding but when this second girl came out to hand me my food she asked me twice “so you left the sides there?”. I told her yes because the bag ripped and another employee had come to pick it up. She asked me the same question again with an attitude then left. Mind you I’m still missing both my orders of cornbread. I tried to call the store multiple times and was put on hold each time and then hung up on. I had asked for a refund before hand when they stated they were out of baked beans at that point but the other girl at the time said that they were already making it so I just agreed. To be met with the little girl with the honey blonde with an attitude at that, was ridiculous considering I WAS THE ONE who paid $55 for an order to not be fully completed still and wasn’t able to return home until a little over 1.5 hours after my initial pick up time.
Additional response: If you redirect your attention to my review thoroughly you can see where I actually did go in and spoke nicely about staff that were appropriately nice to me. I also did ask for a refund if you continue to read further. As you can see from the very few reviews I have this is not something I regularly do. As I will repeat I did all of the avenues you’ve fore-mentioned, contacted the restaurant instead and gave grace to the fact of you all being busy. I can greatly tell that it is not fast food seeing as there is no drive through, but that’s neither here nor there. The singular staff member I’m referring to is what called for my review because as a human being I understand things happen. Her response was unprofessional as I said. As I feel similarly I will not be disrespected either. I will continue to support my community as I said and will have to hope the best for you and your establishment. In the future please look at reviews to comprehend and not to put up a response in defensiveness. As a community we can do better at taking constructive criticism to build. I’ll pray for you all.

The food was really really bad, the rice tasted so rancid I spat it out. The smothered pork chop had no seasoning at all and my collards were bland and undercooked. The only edible item was the baked Mac n cheese.

Atmosphere I gave a 3 because I’m not a fan of sitting outside in the heat. They do not offer indoor seating, nor a bathroom but have adequate space and chairs and tables. Food was delicious, customer service was A1. But the no bathrooms really caught me off guard, as well as having to sit outside. But all in all a great experience.

My first time eating here and i was BEYOND DISAPPOINTED! For me to have spent over $35 the portions could have been a lot better! Cube steak was gross NO taste barely any gravy on it and my rice. Let’s not forget the yams no flavor and the apples taste like they cut them and had them sitting in apple juice! never again! 0/10

The food here was amazing. I will say if you want to eat in go when its usually not to busy because the place is really small and the tables are really close together. The yellow cake with chocolate frosting was incredible and I will definitely go back to try other flavors. The cake was super moist and had an amazing flavor. The whiting was really crispy on the outside and hot and flaky on the inside. The mac and cheese could have used some salt and pepper but overall was still really good. The yams were sweet and super soft I loved them. If you order a kids chicken nuggets just make sure that you have some sauce with you if your kid/kids like them like mine because they dont have any.

Love this place definitely in my top 10 of soul food places in Greensboro, NC! Great homemade food with affordable prices! Chicken is made to order so you will have to wait a few minutes for your food! But it’s definitely worth the wait. I grab the White fried meal with Mac and any type of greens they have available for that day!

We were visiting in gboro and decided to stop by. I “would not” recommend ordering anything from here. The meat items we ordered were both “bland” with no seasoning. (pork chops & chicken). I couldn’t find the meat in the pork chop due to the thick batter that it was fried in also the drumetts. They should be small, they were very large with thick batter.
