Durham’s go to brewery & restaurant for the BEST beer in the city.

Atmosphere is great, but beer selection is better and the ones I like are superb.

There are three areas – outside, inside & bar. Great to find a space that works for you.

Parking is paid – private or you walk a mile or so, but worth it.

Stopped in while visiting Durham from Delaware. It was a hot day but the giant fan kept things nice and cool. The bartender was incredibly friendly and competent. The food and beer were decent. The Brewery itself is in a neat old brick building. It’s worth a visit.

Stopped by for some quick beers.

I opted for their Hazy on tap. When I visited early August, it was very hot and humid out. There were only some fans on, and no AC was turned out (not sure if it is available).

Not too busy for the afternoon.

Parking is extremely difficult here. You may need to park a few blocks away. Read signs carefully. Lots of construction as well.

Absolutely fantastic brews in a really cool space. Megan was super helpful and knowledgeable about the different beers and led us to find our group favorite…the ASDR! She was able to describe the different flavor profiles in a way that was spot on and helped us pick options for our flights that we loved. She was very friendly and checked on us regularly. She and all of the staff that spoke with us were great! Highly recommend to check this place out!

Such a great place to do a beer flight and get some yummy food. This collard green kimchi grilled cheese was AMAZING, and I washed it down with various beers in a 4 variety beer flight.

Their beer is delicious, but the brewery itself is just okay. They didn’t have a lot of their good beers on tap the last time I was there like Humidity, Rocket Science, and Coffee is for Closers. Super friendly staff though!

Great place. love the beers and I really like that they brew onsite. There’s usually a food truck outside but if not you can get food across the street at Motor Co.

Update: full kitchen coming soon!

They also have added a larger selection of beers. Still lots of great space to sit and have a beer while watching the sunset.

I am so attracted to this brewery and have no idea why.

The beer was phenomenal, the food was out of this world, and the staff was beyond words. This establishment is one of the greatest to say the absolute least. It’s full of nothing but a good time. You want to play a board game? Go for it? You want a SIQ dank shirt? They got it.

The food was incredible. I always hunt for a veggie burger on tour; preferably one with a beyond/impossible patty. These guys had the Beyond Vegetarian Burger!! With the special sauce!! The special sauce is really what pulls the pickles, onions, cheese, etc., all together. It’s the blanket on the pig!!

I also sat and wrote a letter and doodled a doodle here!! It’s a great place for it! Lots of open space and places to move around too! They even had a bunch of plants all around!

If you are ever in town please stop by here. It’s full of a good time and a pretty cheap tab.

Hopefully I will get to see you guys again next year!

4 based on beer.
3 based on food.
You’re clearly coming here for the beer…..we purchased lunch (with our beer and kombucha) which was average, big time! Our table had the BLT (vegan style), BLT (real pork) and the vegan burger. We all decided it was ‘meh’….3.0, average or less. The fries tasted like they were fried with chicken. They do serve the sandwiches on a local bakery bread.

As for the beer – it was good, 4. We tried the Afar ( wheat beer w/ mango + berry something), Porter (lavender + earl gray), Uzzz (juicy IPA), Gradnitch (hazy IPA) and the Kombucha by HomeBucha.

Atmosphere was cool – there is outside and inside. We sat inside and had to deal with some flies (it’s that time of year). The service was ‘meh’…. The team seemed stressed, tired or uninterested. There was a family who had a drink accident (with a kid) a d the employee was annoyed to help out.

We’ll probably visit again to taste other beers, but likely eat before we visit.

Great vibe, good music. Plenty of board games & room to move around. Good customer service, very friendly & attentive. I recommend the First Frost (foraged persimmon ale). The apple sonker tastes like an apple cobbler with more cobbler than apple, which is just the way I like it. My husband recommends the MiXe (“mee-hey”) Mexican chocolate stout.
