Casual, around-the-clock American option for all-day breakfasts, salads, sandwiches & desserts.

Had a great experience, highly recommend this place. Spoke with the owner, he showed compassion for his business. I was impressed with the size of the place, arcade, game room, multiple dining rooms! My waitress was awesome, thanks GG!

Breakfast and lunch is the best thing to get here. Their menu is, honestly, overly diverse. Has too many options and I don’t think the cooks can keep up with some of the more Unique selections. We got a dinner here once, and neither of us liked our dinner. Breakfast has always been solid. Pancakes are great, and the skillets are filling and well proportioned. Honestly, all of their breakfasts are. Love that you get 3 eggs as a base lines. Makes it so you have enough yoke for your potatoes!
TL:DR Breakfast is good, well proportioned, and filling. Recommend avoiding the more unique options on the menu. Otherwise, great Classic American Diner to come to.

When in the north suburbs of Chicago (Route 41) or near the Great Lakes Naval Base give this place a try for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
The place from the outside looks dated, aged as do the booths or chairs you sit in, but the food selection, variety, quality and portions are fantastic no matter the meal time.
We enjoyed the two listed pictured items. The rye toast (buttered) is a nice touch.
On a previous visit, i have enjoyed their patty melt and hamburger selections.

Very friendly, and the service was much quicker than we expected. We had a very nice, relaxed, and filling meal. This is a typical all-American restaurant with a huge variety of dishes and large portions.

Love this place . I have been dinning at this restaurant for last 30 years . Young generation from the same family is now in charge and the place looks awesome. This place is a diner from movies . How many other places you can find breakfast at midnight . Who serves liver and onions at 12:30 AM ?!!!

Was up here for Navy graduation. Food and service were good here. Waitress was really nice but don’t remember her name. The chicken noodle soup was seriously some of the best I’ve ever had. Prices are very fair for the portion sizes.
Think this place is open 24 hours. Might stop in and try the breakfast in the morning.

The Full Moon Family Restaurant is a gem that perfectly captures the charm of an old-school diner. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with hospitality.
The breakfast classics are simply top-notch. The eggs were cooked to perfection, the pancakes were fluffy and golden, and the bacon had just the right amount of crisp. Everything tasted like comfort food like grandma made it.
The ambiance is exactly what you’d expect from a traditional diner—cozy, nostalgic, and welcoming. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy a hearty meal and great conversation.
If you’re looking for a no-frills spot to enjoy a delicious breakfast and excellent service, Full Moon Family Restaurant is a must-visit!

I gotta say after heading home after a long flight, all my family wanted to do was to have a good meal. This place was great! From the moment we walked in Gigi kindly greeted us and made us feel right at home. She was friendly, helpful, and willing to make our experience a great one. She mentioned it was her 2nd day, but her customer service said it all. She even spoke to my 82 year old grandma in Spanish! Oh it was definitely a memorable moment. Mind you Gigi didn’t know much Spanish, but she was trying and that’s what matters. The food was great, the restaurant was clean but Gigi made it an overall experience. For that I’m grateful, hopefully on our next trip we can have the same great experience again! Thank you Gigi

Me and my sister had the liver with onions and bacon and it was delish. I’m very particular about where I order that from and at my sister’s recommendation, I ordered it. She was right! It was delicious! The server was sweet as she could be too but unfortunately I don’t remember her name. She’s been there a while though cause my sister knew who she was. I’ll be back!!

Very unprofessional wouldn’t recommend or eat here again! Highly allergic to onions, I informed her they still ended up in the salad. The first time it wasn’t her fault but 3 times the salad was “remade” but I was giving the exact salad with the onions still on there! I asked for a refund the second time she told me she wasn’t allowed to do refunds because the manager wasn’t there.
I asked for something else they gave me a hard time and argued with me about that. I had to explain to them I couldn’t eat the salad because of my allergy to the onions & constantly asked for a fresh salad without them. He informed me he wouldn’t even remake it. Which told me he never remade the order in the first place!
Also he kept putting the same grilled chicken on the grill like the salad was freshly made. My friend sat and watch them do it after we pointed it out they finally let me exchange the salad for a burger.
I just took it & left I honestly didn’t want it i’m scared he could’ve spit in my food because it was so much back & forth. It shouldn’t have even been all of this very disappointing. All of this over $18.65 because they charged me $3 for some feta cheese they didn’t even cut up
*Picture I added was after they remade it the 3rd time.*
