This review is strictly concerning my last visit not my overall opinion of this location. Went through the drive-thru at about 6:30 to pick up bbq sandwiches for the family and decided last minute to get a slab of spare ribs.
Big mistake. Got home, opened the food and the ribs were so dried out that you couldn’t eat them. I dont mean a little dry; I mean dried like jerky. It’s obvious they had been sitting on the grill for hours. Whoever cut and boxed them knew they were bad and still sent them out. BTW, the sandwiches were as good as always. Very disappointing considering I’ve had really good ribs from there in the past and it was $30 in the garbage. So, a word to the wise; if you get ribs in the drive-thru you might want to check them before you drive off.

Super meh experience. Ordered the 1/4 chicken dark plate with collard greens and fries. Chicken tasted really good but it’s got to be from the smallest bird I’ve ever seen. I might have been able to assemble 4-5 bites of chicken from it. Fries were unseasoned and were no better or different than what you’d get from Great Value at Walmart. Collard greens were probably not canned but nothing to write home about. The fountain drink Diet Coke was the best thing about the meal. Zero desire to come back anytime soon.

First time here, and last time here. Spent more here than what we normally do at a sit-down restaurant that offers similar menu. We get bigger portions at other place too. Food was bland and dry; hence the lack of a star rating at all. I couldn’t even finish half of my food because it was that lacking. Not worth the $50+ we spent.

They were not busy but the staff was not friendly. They were not rude, I just didn’t get that ‘Southern Hospitality’ I’ve grown to expect. That being said the food was phenomenal! Best ribs we’ve had in a very long time. The sides were a great compliment to the ribs. My only complaint would really be the plastic silverware. When I pay $20+ each for a meal I do not expect to be eating it with plastic utensils.

I ordered lunch through the drive thru on Monday, and spent $15 + for ( large sweet tea, side of okra, regular BBQ pork sandwich inside sliced all the way). I got home only to discover that my order was completely screwed up ( nothing I ordered was in the bag). I called the restaurant the girl I spoke to was really nice about it. She told me ” to bring my receipt and they could either remake the order or give me a refund”. I did NOT eat the meal that was not mine. It was immediately thrown away. I went back yesterday a little after 11:15 am for them to correct my order. The female manager on duty asked me several times ” what was wrong with my order”? I repeatedly told her ” I got someone else’s order. I didn’t get anything that I paid for. I also told her that I called the day before about the issue”. She kept trying to brush me off! Thankfully I took pictures of the wrong order for proof! I showed the manager and another female customer the pictures. I literally had to talk to them like they were in kindergarten saying ” see this is fries ( I ordered okra) see this is a large plain chopped BBQ sandwich ( I ordered a regular BBQ sandwich all the way inside sliced). They never apologized or anything! The female cook started making my correct order ( while complaining that this was her fourth remake from yesterday). That’s not my problem! I’m a paying customer, and I’m not the one who made the mistake. I was nothing but nice the entire time. Yet majority of the staff was complaining non stop about remaking my order. They were more concerned on finding out who made the mistake. Exact words of the cook ” so they could get pay back”. That is not professional! The manager sucks at dealing with issues. I probably will not eat here again due to poor customer service!

Paid 50 dollars on dinner for two, and they even figured out a way to make French fries taste dry and bland. The food was horrible! Do yourself a favor and go to Jim n Nic’s for WAY better food at equal the price.

First time I’ve ever eaten here and it was not a mistake by no means the food was delicious.. I had the black Angus beef brisket plate and let me tell you I could have shared this plate with another person . The wait was not remotely long and the food was delivered by smiling friendly faces .. thank you guys top job . So if you want a great barbeque meal at decent prices with a great atmosphere I implore you to try full moon barbecue you won’t be sorry

When we finally got the girl to get off her phone and take our order we ordered our usual. Then back on her phone before waiting on others. Found 2 short hairs in our food. I have long hair so I know it wasn’t mine. Food tasted so much sweeter than our usual at Fultondale which is always good.

Went in at 4 pm for late lunch after car shopping. I I rdered turkey sandwich and squash casserole. My husband ordered turkey without bun and squash casserole also. We both drank water. We sat down to eat and a group of employees were in the dining area talking so loud you could hardly hear the person you were with. Then there was the loud music . To top it all off the squash casserole was dried out and mostly cracker crumbs with no creaminess whatsoever. The bbq sauce appeared to be watered down. Way too thin.. I’ve eaten Full Moon in Birmingham many many times and never had anything bad so apparently this location has problems. I’ll stick with Birmingham from now on.
