Reviews
I want to direct this review to those people finding their way on life.
When I first visited Amore coffee I was unaware of what a place full of love and compassion could do to a worn out soul.
I’ve had the privilege of traveling and knowing tons of wonderful humans. Met business owners that through through their vision have impacted life’s. However I hadn’t met someone like T.
I’ve had the privilege of learning from her and the way She carries her life. From seeing her develop young humans and help older ones find their worth and love for themselves.
Im writing this not so Amore can get more business. This place is already packed from opening to closing time.
Im dropping this lines, because I know Im not the only one that at moments feels loss. Life is quite the ride, and sometimes we can’t handle the twist turns and dips.
If you are one of the many who lacks a place to feel safe, appreciated or just feel like you are alone. Allow me to invite you to visit Amore coffee.
This place is brimming with hope for the future it might help you keep going, scratch that Im SURE IT WILL HELP YOU SEE what Love, Kindness and Community can do to any worn out soul.
Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk!
Mucho amor, un humano como tu, viajando en esta roca que llamamos tierra!
Also there is a cat who is super lovely and if you meet him he will come and say hi! He is awesome
There are plenty of drinks, my go-to being the delicious sweet iced chai! The breakfast sandwiches are also very good and nothing is better than a walk up the street to get food and a drink to enjoy while curled up in one of the cozy wingback chairs to read.
On nice days, grab a spot by the beautiful windows in the back and catch the breeze!
Edit: I also very much appreciate the values this coffee shop has and upholds. I feel good about coming here.
We had the Mexican Mocha and the Charlie Brown Sugar Latte to drink and the Breakfast Burrito and a Bagel with Cream Cheese to eat.
The drinks were tasty and the food was delicious!
This is a West St Paul hidden gem!!!
This was our first visit. We will definitely be back!
Atmosphere and Presentation: Up-beat, cozy, and full of character. Local artist paintings adorn the walls, frosted lamps and painted glass lanterns coexist with fairy lights from the ceilings while classic pop music plays over the speaker. Seating varies from full-sized dining tables with padded chairs to wooden benches and barstools along the windows that is a great spot to sit and chat with someone. I just wish that the benches were uniformly padded in some way, because while it’s nice that pillows are offered, it’s a bit awkward for me.The coffee is served in bold, custom-branded mugs or gorgeous glassware for every size of espresso drink.
Service and Cleanliness:
Service is alright, and the cashier let me have a sample of their cold brew so that I was sure I’d be happy with what I order. No one I saw working was particularly friendly or unfriendly. The place is pretty clean, with the exception of crumbs strewn about on the floor after the morning service. Since the building is a bit older, they don’t have a dedicated wall outlet by the window seating (or anywhere I could see in eyesight), and instead have a power strip that pokes out a bit clumsily, but it certainly works.
The coffee: I bought a black cold brew. I find ordering cold brew from a new shop can be a gamble, so I asked for a sample. The barista warned me it’s strong, and that is not untrue. Well-bodied, chocolatey, a bit toasty, with some pleasant sweetness! If you enjoy a “classic” cold brew coffee: This is it.
I think for what I paid, it’s a good experience, and a good value. I’d be happy to come back!
Amore Café is such a gem in Minneapolis! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and you can tell right away that the owner truly cares—not only about the customers, but also about her team. She’s incredibly kind, and that care and passion shines through in the service and the food. Every visit feels welcoming, and the staff go above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a place with heart, community, and delicious food!
