I made an order on Uber eats. The order said “ready” before I even left my house. I get there 10 minutes later & my order is Not ready! Cashier said order was never sent to the kitchen & it will be ready in a few minutes.. 25 minutes passed by & I had to ask Again was my 2 potatoes were ready.. That’s all I had smh. At 1st one girl said no but another asked my name and they were sitting there, bagged up. I was not a happy camper because I was standing there behind the rails for the line, 20 minutes & no one, not even the manager checked to see what I was waiting for or gave any kind of assurance that my food was almost ready! I don’t live but a few miles away so our taters should have been good & hot but they were not.

I had never heard of Full Moon until my sister asked me to stop by and grab her a bake potato on my way home. The size of that bake potato was unreal. From then on I have stopped in whenever I get the chance.
This particular time I was in Tuscaloosa visiting my son. He had never been here before so it was definitely a treat for him.
No matter what city you are in, the food is always great. The servers are always friendly. The wait time is never long which always amazes me.
No matter what you order you can’t go wrong with your choice.

Our visit to the Tuscaloosa Full Moon BBQ tonight was an absolute 10 out of 10 experience!
While the food tasted incredible, the real highlight of the evening was the atmosphere created by the amazing team working there. I cannot emphasize enough just how friendly, respectful, and inviting every single staff member was. It’s rare to find such genuine warmth in a restaurant, and it made our dinner truly special.
Everything we ate was delicious, but I have two suggestions that absolutely need to be added to the permanent menu (seriously, I would pay whatever price you wanted to charge for these!):
Add a Pork Burger: Make it an official menu item to top the burger with pulled pork.
Loaded Chow-Chow Fries: Please add an order of fries topped with pork and chow-chow sauce to the menu.
Those combinations are unbeatable. If you are looking for fantastic food in a warm, welcoming environment, you have to come here. We will definitely be back

The chicken garden salad was huge! The chicken was tender. I loved how they took the seeds out of the celery. Very delicious! The staff was friendly!

Maybe I caught them on an off night or because they were trying to close. I’d ordered Chopped pork, fried green tomatoes and fries. The fries and pork were cold. The pork needed more flavor or sauce or both.
The tomatoes were hot so good on them for that but I think they probably had to make those to order. The meat and fries had probably been sitting on a warmer that was off but maybe still warmish? I ate it because I was hungry and wanted to go to bed but I probably won’t be back. They were nice to us and the beer was good so ♂️

Today was a long day at work as well as at the house for Beast hard at work getting his beauty sleep .
So I decided he and I would hit the streets tonight for dinner and Full Moon is where we landed.

I ordered food to go. We ate the BBQ pork sandwiches and fries. The sandwiches were great and loaded with meat. I wish there was more sauce to go with it. The steak fries were disappointing. They tasted stale and were flat. No salt or seasoning whatsoever. Everything was wet. The sandwiches are wrapped in foil paper and placed in a paper bag. The steam from the food soaks through the bag. I couldn’t wait to get the food unpacked and throw away all that messy trash. Thankfully, there were plenty of napkins.

Loved the fried green tomatoes and potato salad. Deviled eggs were fire. Got the pimento cheese and sausage appetizer. Pimento cheese was top notch but the sausage was very bland.
Smoked brisket was tender but only ok on flavor. Pulled pork had a bit more smoke but both required sauce. Daughter liked her turkey and the consensus was the Mac and cheese was amazing.

The food was excellent. The Chow Chow relish stuff is so tasty and spices up the BBQ nicely. Large portions and the baked potatoes were huge! Staff was friendly and helpful, especially for a first time visitor. If I’m ever in Tuscaloosa again, I will definitely come back to Full Moon!

Worst customer service I’ve seen in a long time. The food was good but the cashier had a disgruntled look the entire time, would not answer questions at all and acted like we were wasting her time. Then we asked for a water for our daughter, she said you have to pay for it ( nothing had been paid for at this point so we were like okay thats fine.) She then made a comment to my mother that we were rude for asking for water. The manager was standing next to her witnessing the entire thing.
