Open late on Sundays when most other places are closed in the area. Sushi was very reasonably priced and satisfying. The tea was loose leaf and not from a bag which we prefer.

Service was everything I expected and it has a cozy homey vibe. No frills, no pomp, but what I was looking for.

I like it here, the taste is very good. Before starting our ordered meal, they gave us a free soup that we really enjoy drinking. The avocado on top of the caterpillar roll is very fresh. We will come back again.

Great rolls, great prices, beautiful interior despite small space.

On my first visit, I decided to get some avocado rolls and I found this restaurant. I paid $8.60 for two avocado maki rolls, each roll being six pieces. The avocado was ripe and the rolls were a good size. If you decide to visit this restaurant, you should dine-in. This restaurant does to-go orders, but they’re really dine-in oriented.

On a different visit, I dined in and had the chicken donburi, California roll, and mushroom roll. The chicken donburi was filling, the California roll was wonderful, but the mushroom roll was extremely salty. My total was $21.55 before tax.

This restaurant has great prices and great food, which is why I recommend checking it out.

We truly enjoy the authentic and classic sushi, sashimi and rolls. You can also satisfy your urgings with combinations of teriyaki, tempura, the house special bento box, hand rolls. The sizzling beef or chicken amiyaki is a crowd pleaser! We return weekly, with friends and family and are never diaappointed. Great staff and a warm environment.

The food overall was okay. I would recommend avoiding the teriyaki dishes–the thick gooey syrupy sauce was unappetizing.

The soup was tasty. That’s the best I can say. I ordered a tuna/yellow tail roll and once it arrived (10 minutes after my husband’s food arrived) it appeared very dry and thin. I tried the first piece of tuna, started chewing and spit it out. It was so fishy and chemically tasting in addition to being dry. This was certainly not fresh fish. I’ve been to 100s of sushi places and never have I experienced this scary quality of food. By scary I mean that if I had swallowed it, I might have been food poisoned. I called our server and told her that it tastes terrible and even though I apologized for having to return it, she just looked at me and said ok. I then ordered a salmon roll and it was better. The place was busy and I couldn’t understand why everyone seemed to be enjoying their food. I realized that most customers were eating menu items other than sushi such as tempura and tonkatsu. So maybe this just isn’t the place for sushi. Maybe they just don’t sell the fish fast enough. The sushi preparer should not have plated my food. Any amateur could see how dry and lackluster it was even prior to tasting it.

The pricing is so affordable and the portion is great. The food is not amazing because it is lack of seasoning, it is more like a family japanese restaurant and the menu has good varieties. The sushi rolls is the best.

It was good. I got House Bento Box (Beef Teriyaki + Combo Tempura + Sashimi + Gyoza). I thought the teriyaki sauce was too goopy and thick for the thin slices of meat – like it haf too much corn starch in it. Otherwise the Tempura and Sashimi and Gyoza was good.

We visited this restaurant just today [9/07/25 ], and unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience due to the staff’s attitude. From the moment we arrived, we were met with indifference and a lack of basic courtesy. One staff member in particular seemed irritated when we asked a spoon and the way she answered she’s rude! And the same lady that gave us attitude before! She really had a bad attitude!

The food was decent, but the unfriendly service really overshadowed the meal. Hospitality is a big part of the dining experience, and I hope the management addresses this issue. We were 9 people and she gave attitude to my children too!

Fujiyama serves an Americanized menu. You know, the bento boxes, the teriyaki dishes and the sushi rolls etc. Tonight, I had an urge to get some saba (mackerel) ($12) and shrimp tempura $7. The food wasn’t bad. The shrimp tempura had a good crispy and crumby batter. But the shrimp tasted powdery. The saba tasted ok. It wasn’t great. I’m not sure why they served it with orange slices. Usually, I like mine a bit salted with some lemon and perhaps some grated daikon radish. I did like how they served teriyaki sauce on the side. Sweet teriyaki sauce served on top would have ruined that grilled salty saba taste. Service wasn’t bad. I wasn’t served tea or checked on after my food arrived as they were pretty busy. The food did come out in a reasonable amount of time. My tab with a large beer was $35 with tax and tip. I’m glad they were open and the little old women working is still doing it after all these year. Good for her.
