Fabulous Japanese cuisine. Very friendly and helpful staff. We tried the Teppanyaki salmon and lamb chops which were both perfectly cooked. Urfon noodles delicious and some of the best sushi roll we have tasted. The chef came out to introduce himself and to explain about the way they source their ingredients that they are the freshest and tastiest. We will definitely be going back.

Visited there for a lunch of a Sunday with 8 friends. The place was very well kept and the ambiance was quite nice.
There were a lot of food and beverage options. Staff was very kind and attentive and the food arrived within around 15 minutes after ordering.
All the dishes we tried were very good and had distinctive Flavours. Portion sizes were very filling too!
Clean toilets, ample space, choice of seating etc.

What a shame. We ordered food in total nearly £500, and while the sushi itself was not bad, the final bill suddenly increased to £650 with food that we never ordered. If we have not checked carefully, we would have been charged £150 more.
This feels extremely dishonest. I have also heard the restaurant treats its staff poorly and pay low wages. I strongly recommend avoiding with all costs.

I remember ordering oyakodon from Fujiyama back in 2017 and it was amazing !!!!! It became a regular meal options for me until I moved out of Bristol in 2020. When I arrived back to Bristol in 2025 I ordered oyakodon using Deliveroo and boy was I disappointed. The meal before consisted of a perfect balance of egg, chicken, onions, rice and the Sauce, it tasked amazing but now it’s bland ! Hardly any sauce and it was full of frozen vegetables which makes the meal taste awful ! I ate a quarter of it and chucked the rest in the bin.
Please don’t let this make you not wanna visit the restaurant as the staff are accommodating and the other food they make is great just don’t order the oyakodon you will regret it.

Have been there couple times and every time it’s been amazing, one of the best Japanese restaurants in Bristol. If you love sashimi and sushi like me, or seafood definitely place to go to. Good selection of started and mains and if you very hangry there are options of large selection of sushi and sashimi. We f you prefer fried food there are good choices too. The drink selection was good. If you visiting Clifton worth give it a try, sometimes tend to get busy so it’s worth giving a ring and book a table in advance. Can be delivered to home as well.

I placed a large order of over £90 via deliveroo, and despite the high spend, the restaurant failed to include one of the dishes. When I called to resolve the issue, the response was shockingly unprofessional.
Instead of taking responsibility for the chef’s oversight (the reason was they were very busy), even if I offered to re-order and pay again for the missing dish with them directly and deal with deliveroo to get the item refunded myself, they still refused to do this due to issue with the “low margins” they would have. Before I could even finish the conversation, they hung up the phone on me.
Furthermore, the quality of the food was somewhat very substandard. The Chicken Ramen Soup had barely any soup left and came with 4 very thin slices of chicken.
It is disappointing that a restaurant would treat a customer this way over an error they admitted was theirs. The “size of the order” is no excuse for poor quality control, and it’s certainly no excuse for rudeness. I won’t be ordering from Fujiyama ever again and I suggest everyone to be cautious if you are expecting good quality food or good service from them.

Not very busy for Saturday dinner. Parking in Clifton is difficult. Restaurant main dining is downstairs. Food was good. Try the set menu for sushi. Value with variety. The rolls were nicely wrapped and flavourful. The dons (rice bowls) is reasonable sized with good portion of meat. Teriyaki sauce is a tad sweet but still delicious. Ramen looks appetizing as well. Overall a good time experience.
