We had a delicious lunch at this wonderful little restaurant in the tiny village of Morgny. The service was excellent and the food we ordered was exquisite. We had a delicious scallops on a bed of leeks to start with followed by duck breast for mains. It was also very reasonably priced!

Recommended by the lovely and charming directrice/maitresse of the Chateau Fleury La Foret, and it was absolutely delightful in every respect. Well worth going out of one’s way from Les Andelys or Lyons-la-Foret, or even farther, to tiny Morgny to enjoy. The owner/chef is a master of subtly bringing out the best in any dish with interesting, complementary seasonings. His scallops in a whiskey-flavored (very subtly) sauce were a revelation. The tomatoes which accompanied the delicious smoked salmon entree’ (appetizer) were delicately seasoned in a most unusual and savory way. Impeccable across the board. The chef and, I assume, his wife could not be more genial, and represent beautifully all that is wonderful about the French people, and French cuisine.
