Authentic Japanese cuisine in a family style restaurant! Japanese kitchen hot food and of course the best Sushi. Delivery and takeout also.A South Florida Staple! Originally founded as a Japanese retail market in the early 80’s outside of Homestead AF Base before Hurricane Andrew devastated the area in ’92. In 1993 Fujiya Japanese Restaurant was reborn in its current location and has become an integral part of the community. Truly a go-to place for families and friends to share authentic Japanese cuisine just as the founders envisioned. Menu has many items that most other restaurants don’t carry. many products coming directly from japan. Because of strick japanese tradition our fish is a much high and costlier grade than most.
Homey eatery with a sushi bar & lengthy menu of traditional Japanese fare, plus happy-hour specials.

Reviews
Our server was very helpful and knowledgeable with questions and our food came out quickly so all of that was wonderful. The Tamago nigiri was the best I’ve ever had and I say that because I don’t really like Tamago that much at all. But I was pretty impressed.
The toro nigiri was no doubt delicious, melted in your mouth. Very rich. I got a Fuji sushi and sashimi combo that was very very good. Their Hamachi and Tuna tataki were my favorite on the plate.
My friend greatly enjoyed his steak teriyaki as well as the pork katsu.
The spicy pork Tonkotsu was fantastic. Everything down to the noodles was homemade I believe.
I think the best bite of the meal was the Godzilla Roll. It was perfectly balanced. Very flavorful. Great texture. Excellent sushi spot. If you are in the area stop by!
Sushi tasted fresh. Good selection in the platter.
Worth a visit
Authentic, delicious, affordable, hands down the best Japanese restaurant you’ll find in Miami. The staff is incredibly nice, the chefs turn out food very fast, large menu, and the quality is superb, and the prices are extremely reasonable.
I’ve been eating at Fujiya for almost a decade, and Every single visit had been wonderful. Highly highly recommend you visit it.
I feel the restaurant can also be cleaner. All the different little Asian figurines are dusty and the restaurant looks a bit dingy
The staff is real nice and it seems they do have some locals taking advantage of their happy hour.
I truly wanted to give them a better review however, since the manager who was there didn’t return to speak to me about the return. This is what I felt.
I went next Door to the Colombian restaurant and finished my dinner there!! As you can view below the color inside the roll isn’t very appetizing
