Very good high quality sushi. The service was stellar. Very attentive while giving your desired space to explore their food at your own place. It is a small and quaint atmosphere with some touches of Japan decor with lovely portraits of the majestic Mt. Fuji. Their hand rolled sushi was exceptional and their presentation was on point. We would definitely recommend.

Sushi was very good and fresh. Shrimp dumplings and edamame were both enjoyable. The BMW roll might be my new favorite roll and I will be back just for more of those! Also had a Midlothian roll and Dance Eel roll; both were awesome. The hibachi vegetables were also good, maybe could have been cooked an extra minute or cut down a size smaller, but that’s prob more of a personal preference and not something that would keep me from re-ordering it. Portions were good sized and filling, even took home leftovers and they kept well, even the sushi, for the following day. Service was good as well, very attentive, and friendly. Went on a Sunday so it was pretty slow, but I can see how you may need/want to make a reservation in advance on a busier day, the place is small and cozy, so I can see it filling up fast! The food is decently priced and worth the money. I will surely be back! They also have the little fried sesame balls, which I LOVE and enjoyed 2 orders of on my ride home. We live a little over an hour away and come into the city often to shop and dine, Fuji will definitely be on our list of frequent eats from now on!

Fuji Sushi is a hidden treasure! I always have received fresh and delicious sushi here and it is my go to sushi place. I have dined and ordered togo multiple times. They are closed on Tuesday which is my day off but I do love that they are open all weekend. Great staff and great food ! Here are photos of two different occasions dining in and togo!

Friendly, delicious and consistent. The best sushi in Midlothian by far.

You won’t find a better sushi spot around. Fuji is consistently incredible—perfect rice, ideal temperature, amazing texture and flavor, great quality, and fair prices every single time.
Our family eats here every Saturday unless we’re out of town (not an exaggeration). It’s become a tradition. The staff are so welcoming and accommodating that they know us by name, which says everything about the care they put into their guests.
It’s Fuji or bust for us. We genuinely love this place.

Cute little place with nice lunch specials. Food was fresh and service was fast on a weekday afternoon. Have specials on different rolls each day of the week.

I am retracting my last review. At that time i had only done take out. This time i went inside to dine. The service was good, nice staff. Large selection of items, not just sushi, but hibachi and other asian dishes. The sushi was good quality and prepeared as soon as we ordered. The green tea was delicious, they use toasted rice to add flavor and give you your own tea pot which keeps your cup nice and warm for every sip. Over all a good experience, with yummy sushi and good atmosphere. This will now be my go to sushi place for this side of town.

Sushi, beef and broccoli bento, and the miso soup were good. The calamari, however, was chewy and overcooked.
The takoyaki was just okay. Now, I will admit that my opinion of this may be bias as I have tried fresh made Takoyaki while traveling Japan. It would be worth trying yourself.
The restaurant was clean, and the staff was attentive.

Such a shame. I came here today with my granddaughter instead of going to Yoshi Sushi in Richmond, because this place was always my number one. Unfortunately, it was not a great experience at all.
I ordered miso soup and sushi with no rice. First off, the soup came after the sushi, which is just strange. Who serves soup last?
More importantly, I am allergic to rice, and I was very clear about ordering sushi with no rice. Not only did the “no rice” sushi not look like sushi at all, but they actually put a small clump of spicy tuna inside the seaweed and sealed with rice after I specifically asked for none. That is completely unacceptable and dangerous for someone with an allergy.
On top of that, my granddaughter’s roll was upcharged for adding cream cheese to the salmon, yet it only came with six very small pieces, which definitely would not be considered wasn’t a full roll anywhere else. Way overcharged and rushed out.
I don’t understand what has happened to this place. It used to be my favorite, but sadly, this will be my last time coming here.
