Dined here with my significant other last month (1/30). She had suggested this spot after trying it first with her roommates.

The decor is nice, and the place is clean. The lanterns and sakura blossoms decorating the ceiling add to the authenticity. We got the fried gyoza as an appetizer – crunchy and yummy like it should be. We also tried the chicken bbq sticks – these were SO GOOD. I don’t know what sauce and dry rub they put on it but it is delicious! For the ramen, we tried the miso and shoyu ramen. They were both hearty and warming, delicious and done perfectly. What we really enjoyed about the ramen were the portions. Other places will charge the same price for smaller portions, but here you get your bang for your buck. The missus also tried the honeydew melon milk tea with mango popping boba (not pictured) and she enjoyed that very much. 10/10 would recommend.

This food was disappointing and did not look anything like the photos. I can make a bowl of oodles and noodles and add mushrooms, frozen edamame, canned corn, and a boiled egg that tastes better. Noodles have absolutely no seasoning and the broth and toppings are not enough for the amount of unseasoned noodles.

The “side” fried rice did not have any flavor. Just oil and rice and specks of egg yolk.

Shrimp tempura is frozen and tastes like seapack in the frozen food section of any grocery store.

Used DoorDash so can’t speak on service or atmosphere.

Paid almost 40.00 for food that’s worth 15.00 diy.

Honest review. Ordered an appetizer and they had standard good tasting dumplings. Was disappointed in the highlight dish, which was the spicy seafood ramen. If I were to describe the broth it tasted watery, like chilli flakes and sink water. It was so bad that my friend and I could not eat much of it. We really tried to like it, but it was that nasty. The waitress was fine, but the person I believe to be the manager offered us a discount instead of a refund. She only refunded us 3$ on a 17$ bowl. You can see it on the check in the photo below. There’s the receipt and the amount of ramen we had left over.

The Chicken Kara-Age Donburi is my favorite thing there! The chicken hibachi also tasted so fresh and delicious! The veggies had great texture. Both styles of rice were cooked perfectly. The flavors are addictive and reminds me of time I spent in Japan. I have eaten in and have also gotten it to go and both situations the portions are very generous. My family and I love their food.

Service was great!

The ramen was unfortunately not the best ramen but the house fried udon was delicious! I will go back for that, especially because it’s more convenient when I’m not feeling the experience at Yummy Bowl. Our server was amazing and very sweet!

This chicken fried rice was absolutely delicious! The rice was cooked perfectly — fluffy with just the right amount of seasoning — and every bite had amazing flavor. The chicken was tender and well-seasoned, with a nice golden sear that gave it great texture. I also loved the mix of vegetables; the broccoli, zucchini, onions, and carrots added freshness and crunch that balanced the dish perfectly. The portion size was generous, and everything tasted freshly made, not greasy at all.

If you’re craving something hearty, flavorful, and satisfying, this is definitely a dish worth ordering again!

We decided to check out Fuji Ramen in Colonial Heights after seeing a TikTok video about them and wow, we’re so glad we did! My family of three went for lunch, and everything from the atmosphere to the food was fantastic. The restaurant is clean and welcoming, the staff was friendly and very quick service.

We ordered chicken udon, pork miso ramen (pictured – the bowl is very deep so it’s bigger than it looks), and hibachi. Every dish was fantastic and generously portioned. The udon was cooked perfectly with a rich, savory sauce that was full of flavor. The hibachi had great taste and good portion of rice and veggies. But the real star was the pork miso ramen. The broth was so flavorful I couldn’t stop drinking it even after I was full! I added an extra half soy egg (highly recommend!), it was perfectly jammy and delicious.

We also tried the taro milk tea with boba, which was decent but not a standout. Honestly though, the food alone is enough reason to come back, and we definitely will.

The other thing we really appreciated was the pricing. At similar places our bill would have been $70-$80. We ordered three entrees, a side of chicken BBQ, boa buns and a boba drink. Our total was around $64 before tip.

Tried the udon and wasn’t bad. Egg was way darker than expected. Good happy hour drinks. Good temperature of the food. Awesome sweet chili sauce. Great music. Bbq calamari not worth the price. Def will return for happy hour! Also not many options for vegans and none pork / beef folks.

Food was fast, hot, and delicious. Service was great, hostess was kind and attentive. Environment was clean and looked nice. Had none of the issues mentioned by others who went during the soft open. Definitely recommend and will return. I forgot to take pics before everyone started eating but food was plated beautifully.

My server was pretty bad. Took forever to get the bill and never checked in on how the food was. There was another server working who seemed great, she checked on the table next to me 4 times before I asked the manager to bring me the check. The ramen was subpar. Broth was decent, but the chatsu very tough. A $16 bowl of ramen should be better than that.
