I think I was their very first real customer as I’ve been pretty excited about their opening ☺️. I stopped in to check it out and ordered some Chicken Fried Rice to go. The service was good, especially as they were so new, the food came out super fast, it was reasonably priced (I usually tip in cash, fyi) and it was delicious. I was a little disappointed that they didn’t have Hibachi Tables and cook in front of you but seeing how small the space is I’m not sure logistically that was an option. I will definitely be back to order Hibachi for dine in though!

The food is not impressive. Everything tastes so salty. I don’t know if they cooked with MSG. I ordered the chicken and shrimp combo with fried rice. The chicken is cut into big chunks. It’s not pleasant to eat big chunks. It likely chicken breast, not chicken thighs. It’s very chewy, dry and chunky. The sauce is very salty. The fried rice has tiny pieces of carrots and tiny egg pieces. spicy mayo is charged for .50. I couldn’t finish it. Not worth coming back.

Finally a fresh and good hibachi restaurant in Iowa City/Coralville!! Amazing portions and delicious food! I just wish it had a hibachi grill to sit at! We will for sure be back!

Food is so great and the staff are very nice. However, I’m really worried for those fish in the tank..:(( That tank is far too small for them, would love to see an upgraded tank for them to feel better about coming back!:(

So glad we found this place! Don’t skip the appetizer menu – I highly recommend an order of fried sesame balls, shrimp tempura, and crab rangoons. Delicious and satisfying! All of the entrees I’ve tried have been great. The hibachi steak, shrimp, and chicken have lots of good quality, flavorful meat that pair perfectly with the garlic fried rice. I’ve always ordered takeout from their website and never had a problem with an order.

This review is long overdue. Fuji Grill does not miss. It a favorite and usual to-go order spot for my husband and I. Healthy options, large portion sizes, and consistent quality time. Have not tried anything I haven’t liked!

Great food, but expensive! I usually spend $26-$34 for one person. I think customer service could be a bit better as well. I got dinner for 2, total of about $63, and I couldn’t even get extra sauce for free they tried to charge me $3 extra. Very steep pricing, but decent hibachi without the hassle of going into the mall.

Great food, fair price for the quality and quantity. Easily two meals, but honestly I can’t stop myself from finishing in one sitting. Staff are efficient and friendly. Easily one of the best take out spots around.
