I came here with my wife to eat Hibachi. I ordered hibachi steak and hibachi shrimps for my wife. Steak was mediocre, fried rice wasn’t made in soy sauce like it supposed to be. My wife’s shrimps weren’t fully cooked(looked fried but raw inside). When i asked a guy at the front to fry it more, he refused to do it. Told me” you already started eating it. Eat it like that, its fine”. They didn’t change nor made refund. After all we had to throw it into trash. This is not how to treat a customers. This was first and last time here.

Reliable, No-Frills Hibachi! ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Fuji is a nostalgic staple in the Upstate for quick, affordable Japanese-style food. It isn’t the fanciest hibachi around, but it’s a solid, tasty option if you’re in the Duncan area.

The Food:

Highlights: The steak hibachi was great, and the sweet carrots were a delicious surprise.

Value: Good quality for the price, though be aware that meat portions are on the smaller side.

The Experience (Unique Quirks):

Service: Very fast and courteous, though it can feel a bit rigid.

The Process: Seating is assigned by the cashier when you order. It’s meant to be helpful, but it can be a little confusing for first-timers!

Policy Note: Keep in mind they have a “no shared drinks” policy.

Summary: Perfect for a quick, budget-friendly meal if you don’t mind a few eccentric service rules!

1st time ordering here. Was in mood for oriental food. Happen to pick this place. Menus were easy to navigate. Pretty diverse choices. Mainly chicken, steak combos. I tried the Steak Teriaki, so did my wife. Mine was a little tough,(overcooked) but my wife’s was perfectly tender. I think we will return but I will order mine rare.

As my 1st time here I did not know what to expect. It was delicious and very flavourful! I had a #11 with was steak, chicken, mixed veggies, carrots, and rice. I also purchased a side of broccoli. I did not know how the portions were. They are large portions so be hungry or ready for left overs! Price is about average on Japanese hibachi. It also came with white sauce and meso soup. The inside was very clean kept up. Fast delivered food on the inside. Its a seat yourself type of place but they are normally asking you where you want to sit before you have a chance to get your drink! (Not a bad thing)

Come here all the time. Usually very happy with quality and amount. However, the last 2-3 visits I’ve realized the portions have diminished a lot. Very little meat and hardly any veggies at all. Very displeased and will likely be trying other Japanese restaurants for now on. I think this place is going downhill fast and people are going to start noticing. Sad but true

Good place to have a fast lunch. The restaurant was very clean, tables and chairs cleaned as soon as the table was empty.
The small complimentary bowl of hot soup was a nice touch.

They had the soup at our table before we even sat down. Fastest food I’ve ever had.

It’s the same as a hibachi dinner but you don’t have to sit in front of the grill and get all oily. Food is awesome and cooked fresh per order.

This is a great place and i got the terriyaki chicken and the food was cooked perfectly! The vegetables were just the right amount of tender but still had a slight crunch and not too soft or over done. Theres alot if the sit down japanese places and they dont get it right not like this. Its excellent here with great prices and everything tasted so good.

The food here is good, but one negative thing I always tell anyone when they ask about Fuji is that the people can be outright smart mouthed and rude for no reason.

I’ve been eating here since the location opened and at the Westgate location for years. I’ve always overlooked the rudeness, but I’m done with them now!

I went through the drive through a few nights ago and if you’ve been here at the Duncan location you know there’s always a chubby guy working the drive through window that’s very rude. Well I was going to pay with “Tap to Pay” and he needed to take my phone. I reached him the phone but it blacked out. So he asked me to unlock my phone. I turned back towards him but instead of him putting the phone in my hand and making sure I had it, he let go of the phone before I got my hand fully out of the car window. The phone never hit my hand and it fell directly on the concrete face down.

He never apologized or even showed any remorse. I got out of my car to get my phone to see it was shattered, and not working properly. Another worker walks up who could have been the chubby guy’s boss and the chubby guys says “I didn’t do anything”. Again he never apologized to me, or even asked if my phone was ok. He just acted like nothing happened.

Mistake or not if something like this happens the right to do would be to apologize and ask if everything was ok with the phone. Not to take the attitude of forget it, it’s not my phone. This isn’t the first problem I’ve had with him, but it will be the last because no one from my family will ever eat here again.
