Beautiful restaurant with great food. Went for dinner and we had several steaks, sides, soup and salads. All were great. It was a slow night so likely staff were allowed to go home early. Owners were attending to all duties, so a little slower than probably normal, but incredibly sweet owners.
Can’t wait to try them for breakfast/ lunch, which is an entirely different menu/price point. (casual/country style breakfast vs higher-end steakhouse vibe for dinner) Family owned with personal touches throughout. A great new and local spot!

Fuentes is out of place in diamond springs. The food is outstanding, the wine and beer selection is great, cocktails are the rice wine liquor. Very good cocktails, but be aware it’s not real spirits. The decor is nice but still under construction in some areas, can’t wait to sit at a finished booth! Dinner is ala carte so you order a salad, steak, side all separately, common in fine dining, but not in this area. The owners are very nice, but the guy can talk your ear off . I highly recommend it, but be ready to pay for what you get.

Fine dining Steakhouse that serves breakfast so came for breakfast today and just had simple biscuits and gravy with an egg, and it was really good. Prices are not the cheapest, but the winner for breakfast is the huevos rancheros. Clearly, the Venezuelan influences from the cook are in the rancheros. The dinner menu looks exciting, albeit a little on the price point you would expect for fine dining. The black stainless silverware is really cool, The pre fixe menu changes weekly, and based on the service we had I would definitely give this place a try

Brazilian Steakhouses – visited my first one in Boston about 6 years, then another in Long Beach, then again in Cancun. Boston stood out as the best experience, until last weekend in Diamond Springs, CA. My wife and I along with a few friends were invited for a soft opening with a private dinner at Fuentes Steakhouse.
Started with fresh appetizers – exotic cheese & meat trays, an in-house spinach dip recipe, and a cool display of fresh shrimp with homemade sauce to die for. Next we had fresh Lobster Maine Bisque soup, prosciutto wrapped asparagus, and carrots, followed up with baked & mashed potatoes. Next came the main course that is traditional to Brazilian steakhouses – served in ridizio style format, where rotisseries of each meat cut are brought to the table by the chef for patrons to take a fresh slice one at a time. They started with the picanha cut, which was exquisite, finishing with the filet mignon. Cheesecake with delicious purée sauce to close off this family style dining. They also have an extensive wine selection for pairing and a full bar.
The presentation by the owners and chef was second to known, it made the difference for a spectacular group experience. Chefs from Venezuela bringing their own recipes make this restaurant top shelf.

I am not writing a review to complain but to educate the owner of my experience. And if I were the owner I would want to know. Upon entering my wife and I waited long enough, more than usual. So to get recognized I went into the kitchen to alert someone. We did get seated, but quickly realized that the only server was the one who seated us. It was not crowded at all and before we could order 2 others that were seated AFTER us left from lack of service. The presentation was nice once the food finally arrived. I ordered a $75 rib eye and everything was warm enough but I have never seen this cut of meat ever. Don’t know what it was but I know for a fact it was not a rib eye. I do know how hard it is to run a restaurant as my mother owned one for 26 yrs. So I do think the owners should concentrate on staffing first then the rest will be so much more easier for customers as well as staff to please more people. Waiting too long for a table or the food does spoil the dining experience no matter how good the rest of the presentation is. The Placerville area is way too short on nice steakhouses so we hope the best for this one.

Stopped in for lunch with a couple of girlfriends. Totally love the updated decor (western theme). We all had the French Dip sandwich and it was delicious. Their French fries are the best I’ve had in a very long time with good size portions. We met the owner Josh and he was very friendly and personable as was his staff Glad to have a steakhouse in the area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast here! We shared French toast, sausage, potatoes, and a breakfast burrito. All were seasoned/cooked perfectly, truly some of the best breakfast we’ve had in the area. Great coffee, too. The owner Jason was extremely kind & welcoming. The atmosphere was very clean, well decorated, and a beautiful layout. We’re excited to have such a nice place near us & looking forward to coming back for dinner!

What a place!
Went for the first time, and was totally surprised by how good it was. It’s like 3 restaurants in one… a high-end steakhouse, a Brazillian all-you-can-eat style steakhouse, AND a Tapas place.
How the owner has managed to pull off such a complete and fantastic menu so quickly, I have no idea… but the Chef here is seriously skilled. Everything was AMAZING… saving room for dessert was tough, but worth it.
They even make their own strawberry butter! It was crack!
It’ll take a while for word to get out to the Tahoe crowd, but once they find out it’s beyond worth the extra 5 minutes to get here from hwy 50, it’ll get packed. The food is simply the best in the area, though prices are a little steep, but appropriate for the caliber of restaurant.
Service was fantastic, and we’ll be back, a lot.
There’s a new Destination restaurant in Hangtown/Diamond springs… I feel a little bad for the Independent, it’s going to get blown out of the water, this is the place to go.

Great bread with homemade flavored butters are excellent! Vegetables are just the right consistency and very yummy (we had glazed carrots and seasoned asparagus). Chef made us a complimentary appetizer and it was to die for! So good. All in all, everything from steak to dessert was great. Love the ambiance!!!

New restaurant in Diamond Springs Ca. Limited dinner menu mostly steak (obviously) but very expensive! They are newly opened and when we visited they didn’t serve alcohol at all (waiting for license, I guess). Service was slow, even though we were the only guests for the first hour we were there — I think they are still training and learning. They did offer us a complementary appetizer that was very tasty. OK back to those prices! Ribeye steak was $75, Rack of lamb $50, New York Strip steak $55. I would call this EXTREMELY overpriced (especially for Placerville/Diamond Springs area), and for the quality of the food, service and (lack of) drinks. Several restaurants in this area far outshine this place (The Independent, Smith Flat House are a couple). I will not return unless they reprice the menu to be more reasonable/competitive and they start serving alcohol.
