I was visiting downtown Detroit and decided to stop by this restaurant inside the Marriott hotel. The place was absolutely packed, but I was pleasantly surprised that I didn’t have to wait long to be seated. My server, Rock, was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and genuinely engaged the entire time. The service was phenomenal and made the experience that much better. The food was excellent as well, fresh and well-prepared. Prices were a bit on the higher side, but that’s to be expected for a restaurant inside a hotel. Overall, a great dining experience and I would definitely come back.

Our bartender Tony was amazing. Really made us feel welcomed. Provided top notch service. Even recommended a local beer to pair with my burger.

I have no idea how this place has almost perfect reviews and so few of them considering the size of this hotel.
I went to dinner with a group at about 8:30 pm. I thought this would be an easy one considering the timing, but it was brutal.
The food was horrible. I got the ravioli and it tasted like nothing but olives. It arrived luke warm after over a 30 minute wait. The good news here was that the server saw that the three people in my party who ordered this dish didn’t eat it and he comped all of us.
Other than comping us on the bad food, the service was horrible. We waited 10 minutes at least between each visit. We got no drink refills despite being there for over an hour and a half. They even asked us if we wanted extra pita bread and then charged us without making that cost clear. They seemed understaffed and you seated yourself so the whole thing felt really inefficient. When I told the server that the ravioli was horrible he literally said to me “you’re not telling me anything I don’t know.” Which seemed super weird. Wish we could have gotten that tip before we ordered. They should probably take that item off the menu if this is such a well known issue.
The breakfast was MUCH better but we also had a voucher and the breakfast was continental So we didn’t have to wait. They had a hard time keeping everything restocked especially the eggs, but it at least tasted good and the service was better.

At here multiple times during a conference and was quite disappointed by the quality of the food and the prices. I understand this is a hotel restaurant and will be overpriced as a result, but $6 for room temp coffee is way worse than expected. I had the Santa Fe salad one day, which had really wilted greens and raw onions that were clearly past their prime, then a couple days later had the avocado toast which had the thinnest layer of guacamole, not fresh avocado. Wouldn’t recommend though unfortunately there aren’t many other good options in this area.

The breakfast was ok, but the prices are high because there are few options in the area. The hotel/buildings are massive which makes this one of the most convenient options instead of trying to go somewhere else.
DO NOT get the buffet, it’s not that fresh by the time you get it and it’s $30. For $23, get the All American , it comes with eggs, potatoes, turkey sausage or bacon, toast or a bagel and comes with orange juice or coffee.
The All American breakfast pictured was not worth $23. Turkey sausage was just warm and not much flavor. Potatoes slices were of various thickness and some slices were really thick and undercooked. Eggs and toast were ok.

The food is and has always been delicious here. The prices aren’t as high as they could be, and I think the quality/quantity helps justify. The staff is so kind here as well. We had an amazing breakfast today, and it might be one of the best I’ve had in a while.

This is just VOLT renamed. My experience was similar to other reviews for the Volt. The rebranded “Fuel” has ok food and a wide selection of drinks. A lady with glasses who is over worked behind the bar is the only reason we ever even got anything (she was awesome though). Despite eating two meals here, we never once were even approached by a server, having to go up to the bar to order food (dinner), pay for the breakfast buffet (since we just started eating when the servers were clearly not paying attention) get drinks, morning coffee, napkins and even silverware. My view was that there were just not enough staff there for how busy it gets. It might help if they had a hostess stand and they seat you as opposed to the wide open seating. I think that’s why servers overlook guests and you end up just sitting there with someone else’s dirty dishes. The ambiance is good, but it’s a very DIY restaurant.

We had breakfast here while staying at the hotel, and it was tremendous! The service was excellent (thank you Patrina) and the coffee and food was great as well. We will definitely eat here again when we are back in Detroit.
