A good, basic. freshly cooked breakfast with hot buttered toast for once and sensational potatoes. Set your expectations, and go to The Frying Pan.

Went here to enjoy some food after hiking. The options of tables were limited, but we did get to sit down immediately. Ordered with Devyn. Took on the minimum 30 minutes for our food to come out. (Wasn’t really hungry when we arrived, sat there long enough to really get hungry.) I made an excuse that we were a party of four as the people who came in after were one partied and ordered blt sandwich. When we finally got the order, we were missing a meal. The cook shouted in the back but did make the food. Overall favorite was the pancakes and scrapple. I just think the service and atmosphere could use work.

We haven’t been here in a few years and stopped by today at lunchtime. There was one other table occupied when we walked in. I’m used to seeing this place packed at this time of day on a weekend, so that was my first clue something was amiss. Almost all the tables had signs making them as closed. We sat down and the server came by fairly quickly to take our drink order. It took longer than expected to get our coffees. They were horrible: bitter, burned, and old tasting. We asked to swap the coffee for some ice tea and that turned out just as bad: sour and old tasting. It took about 45 minutes for our food to arrive. These were simple breakfast orders and there were very few people in the restaurant. I’m rather baffled at how long it took for the food to arrive. The veggies in my omelet were uncooked and cool. The ham was a slice or two of lunch meat. The pancakes were good and my wife’s order was OK, not great, but passable. All-in-all, this was a sad and disappointing experience. I don’t plan on coming back and recommend you pass it up as well.

This is an old-school, no-frills Mom and Pop type of place, but the food is tasty, prices are great, and we had no complaints about the service. Note – they do not service breakfast all day, but there’s plenty to chose from on the lunch menu. I would definitely go back. (I was a little disappointed they were out of onion rings)

The previous cook and waitress from a few years ago Left. That woman could cook! I know the waitress who had been there for 5 yrs didn’t know you have to clean the spouts on the soda machine? Maybe that’s why the drinks are nasty.
The owner has a tendency to help himself to tip money meant for staff..that may contribute to the service??
It’s a crapshoot to eat there.

Delicious lil dive. They were understaffed but worth the wait. Coffee was strong and excellent plus we got lots of refills despite how busy it was. Pancakes, bacon, sausage, chipped beef gravy, fried potatoes and scrapple on our table were perfect. Plus I love the art on the walls, charming.

The water in the place tastes weird. Anything made with the water (tea, coffee, soft drinks, food items) tastes funny because of the water had a weird smell/taste. They need to treat the water and it will increase the quality of the food and drinks.

BOMBS AWAY!! We left a big load in their toilet after this visit! We had breakfast sausages that had the consistency of a scone! (It was dry!) Unfortunately, we had to go somewhere after this and just to say the least, the car ride was not pretty! We ended up dropping so many bottom burps, we had to stop off at Wendy’s to relieve ourselves! WARNING: you WILL go #3!

Took my family to the area a couple of weeks ago. Scott and Jean were amazing. We weren’t sure what to do with our day, but Scott gave us a story of the Calvert Cliffs We left with a plan, some shark teeth, and fully planned day ahead of us. Great time! Try the rockfish!

I would give zero stars if possible I will never go back. I tell you that! I walked in and most of the tables inside the door had signs that said closed on half the restaurant me and my kids just stood there waiting for somebody to address us I finally had to ask where I could be seated because the one girl that was there did not speak up, greet us or anything like that.. not to mention when I ask for cream chip beef, which is what I came there for I was told they’re not making it anymore because it’s not turning out right and they’re having a problem with the recipe. Even my daughter who is 10 was able to say that that sounds like a skill related issue… Not to mention when I asked them if the other meal I settled on instead of getting potatoes which it comes with if they could just give me half of that and half of the grits, a small portion of each, she went back and asked the cook who was the owner I’m assuming And was loud enough to hear him say from where we receded that yes he would do it and then he waited another 10 seconds and then proceed to say loud enough for me to hear that it is absolutely ridiculous, but he will do it. Needless to say we left and did not eat their steer clear of this place. It’s dirty in there as well. It doesn’t look clean and the attitude of the employees seem like they do not want your business or your money.
