Although this was recommended as a “must go”, I will not be returning. It was a cozy space, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and friendly waitstaff. Menu is eclectic, with something for all tastes. So, to start, the coffee was possibly the worst tasting I’ve had in many years. It was cheerfully replaced by acceptable, but not great, cups. For breakfast, my garden omelette had a slightly peculiar odor, and there was nothing holding it together-a few scattered pieces of feta, and kale stem pieces along with mushroom and tomato completed the tasteless concoction. Vegan sausage also disappointed and did not seem to be cooked long enough. The bread was good! The bagel was not. Sorry, but someone has to be doing some tasting, testing and quality control here!

More than a coffee shop. This place has a full and varied menu. I had the shrimp n grits. The flavor was spot on. I wish the grits were a little thicker, like the side of grits my wife had, but it was a tasty dish nonetheless. Service was great and a team effort. My son said his french toast was some of the best he’s ever had. I would give the food a 4.3 and the coffee a for 4.7.

I stopped by Frothy Monkey in Franklin for a quick coffee while driving to an event, and I’m so glad I did. The exterior caught my eye right away super cute and inviting. Inside, it has this eccentric, quirky charm that makes it feel special compared to your usual coffee shop. It was pretty quiet when I went, which made it a perfect little escape for an afternoon pick-me-up.
The coffee was really good, though the food options were pretty limited. Still, it’s definitely a great spot to relax, recharge, and enjoy a cozy cup before getting back on the road. I’d happily stop by again!

Absolutely NO REASON for EVERY PART of this experience to take as long as it did. The wait for the table. The wait to be greeted by the server. The wait for our drinks. The wait for our food WITHOUT EVER BEING CHECKED ON. This meal (eggs and bacon) SHOULD NOT have taken 1.5 HOURS to be brought to our table! If the server would have ever returned to the table before the food came out, we would have closed out and cancelled our order.

The food was amazing. The coffee was perfectly sweetened. The biscuit platter hit the spot to start. The whipped feta was the best I had tasted. Then the Gali chicken salad was scrumptious.

Food was pretty decent — we had the grilled cheese and a pesto sandwich, both were good. We also ordered two lattes, but unfortunately they tasted a bit watered down. We waited over 10 minutes for a table and were never seated, so due to time constraints (and after noticing the slow pace of the kitchen), we decided to get our food to go instead. Even after that, it took nearly 25 minutes for just the two sandwiches to come out.
The hostess was pleasant, but the overall vibe felt very unhurried. We decided to try Frothy Monkey instead of our usual go-to, Crema, just to switch things up — and honestly, we regretted the decision.

The food is definitely smaller portions here, which worked for us, but for the price would not normally be ideal.
I was greatly appreciative they had a vegan dish, but it largely lacked flavor. The vegetables were sauteed, but without any seasoning. The cheese and sausage were nice additions that brought in some character, but not enough to make up for that.
Reviews of the rest of the food was similar but with some highlights, bouncing between 3 star blandness and sandwiches which were generally well recieved.

My wife and I went to Frothy Monkey most places were closed that day but they were open. I gotta tell you that I was really impressed with this place. They took a home and made it into a coffee shop and it’s really homey!
This place is great. We were near a booklet with books that you can checkout while you are there. I ordered the Havana Latte and my wife got the Rosemary Honey Latte and both of them were delicious! Also we got some good and I got the Royale sandwiche and wife got Shrimp and grits
Gotta tell you the wife was impressed with the grits she loved it and my Royale was very good
If you are looking for a nice coffee ☕️ place with really good food I suggest you give it a try because we loved it! Great atmosphere and also they have a lot of seating especially upstairs!
