My boyfriend and I have tried Frosty King four times, including tonight.
The first three times we ordered milkshakes (different flavors each time), and every single time they were basically tasteless—just milk. Each visit cost us over $13, which was very disappointing. We kept giving them more chances because of the great reviews and because we really wanted to like this place, but the milkshakes consistently let us down, especially for the price.
Tonight we decided to try the ice cream instead. We ordered two small cups with two flavors each, but they ended up giving us four separate small bowls, each with one small scoop. We paid over $17, which feels excessive for what we received. The ice cream was bland and didn’t have pieces of cake, cookies, or mix-ins like you’d expect from premium ice cream. It was better than the milkshakes, but still nothing special and not worth the price in our opinion.
The drive-thru experience has also been frustrating. When asking about available flavors, the employee seemed annoyed and told us the menu was online. They also prompt for tips starting at 18%, which feels high for a drive-thru order.
That’s why we’ll keep being loyal to Dairy Queen—the prices are fair, the service is great, and the flavors are consistently delicious.

This place is the best! This is my 4th consecutive year coming in Frosty King on Spring break and every year we religiously come back. The flavors are delicious with a good variety and the girls are SO hardworking and sweet. Sophia is GORGEOUS and incredibly hospitable. She was awesome and so helpful. Mackenzie was also great running around when they were SLAMMED and still doing it with a smile on her face! Keep it up girls!

The ice cream is decent, but the young ladies who serve it are without a care to service. They don’t say hello, thank you, they don’t hustle when there is a line, they are there to hang out and giggle. When paying at the drive thru my card is often snatched from my hand. I won’t be going back. There’s better service at frozen gold, twistee treat and Dairy Queen.

Frosty King has the BEST homemade peanut butter ice cream! It’s super creamy, rich, and packed with real peanut butter flavor in every bite. If you love peanut butter, you have to try it — absolutely delicious!

Stopped by for a quick Oreo milkshake and glad I did. The outside seating is great for social distancing. They have homemade ice cream which is amazing (tried a sample). Service is friendly, quick, and efficient. Will come back and try some other options soon
