We are a Texas Southern BBQ. Fro is a welder, fabricator by trade and built our 16 foot smoker trailer. We fill it with meat, smoke it all night long with oak and hickory. It’s coming off the smoker when we open, so when it’s gone it’s gone until tomorrow. And of course all our homemade sides that compliment our meat real fine. Top it all off with homemade dessert, which is always different! BYOB is also offered and pets are welcome inside!

I purchased the Mountain for $70 after tax.
It’s good, but lacks a true BBQ taste. The brisket wasn’t fall apart, but was still delicious.
Chicken was good but packed a real strong smokey flavor.
Turkey was good but dry.
The sides were all good. It’s worth the try.

Delicious BBQ. Simple but mouth watering delicious. I’ve been here a week and eaten here FOUR times. I really also like the Mac and cheese, baked beans, and corn bread. I never have room for dessert, but I hear they are homemade and delicious. Sit outside and enjoy a lovely view of the river while the kids play on the playground.
Edit: Dessert varies by the day, today I had peach cobbler and homemade ice cream, and it was soooo good!

Food is great but last night I placed an order for 3 walking pigs no cole slaw. Guess what all 3 walking pigs had the cole slaw in them so my son and daughter in law didn’t get to eat their dinner they wanted after spending $103. I called frosmokes and all the told me was “sorry we will make sure there is no cole slaw next time.” Didn’t bother to make up for the money I just wasted and food no one ate.

We have been wanting to stop in here and today was the day! Very quaint place down by the river so the scenery is very nice. I opted for the special which was brisket tamales and I chose the supreme version. It added melted cheese, bbq sauce, sour cream and jalapenos to the top of the tamales- it was outstanding! My wife had the mac n cheese brisket wrap and she really liked it. We shared cheesy potatoes as a side and it was very good as well. We will absolutely be back and will bring friends and family when they visit!!

I often catch myself reminiscing about the absolutely unforgettable flavor of the brisket and ribs here. The brisket is cooked to perfection. no exaggeration. The ribs are fall-off-the-bone tender, and when you pair them with the sauces? Absolutely divine. Even the pickles are delicious and refreshing.
I’m not the biggest fan of the mac & cheese, but, I’m not there for the mac. And to anyone complaining about the oak-wood smoky flavor… respectfully, grow up. That’s real barbecue.
I drive two hours just to get a taste, and every single time, it’s worth it. I miss yall and I hope to return again soon.

Decided to take a Sunday Drive and ended up here. Walked in and the smell made your mouth start watering. There are so many options we opted for the Mountain so we could try everything. Brisket, ribs, chicken, turkey and had to try the meatloaf. All tasted as amazing as they smelled and the sides…mouth watering! Can’t wait to come back this unmet and enjoy the patio overlooking the Illinois River. Tomorrow’s breakfast will be amazing as well as the portions are plentiful!!!
