I am visiting the area for 2 weeks and love coming to this coffee shop.

The place is new, modern, clean with spacious seating inside and outside. The property is just so beautiful with bushes and flowers and sculptures- it’s really a pleasure to sit and sip on a coffee here.

It’s right off the main road and convenient to get to with a big parking lot in the back.

The coffee is great, the pastries are good and macaroons are good but I think previously frozen maybe. They also offer ice cream and food like sandwiches and other light meals.

I did find the pastry items to be a bit on the expensive side.

The barista/person at the counter was kind enough but didn’t seem to be too happy to be there.

Overall a great place to enjoy coffee and a treat on any morning. There were quite a few customers inside and so I only took photos outside.

Our group of six had 2 breakfast sandwiches, 1 wrap, 2 paninis, 1 avocado toast, 2 cookies, 1 croissant, 3 mochas, 1 iced chai, 1 brewed coffee and 1 smoothie. Everyone was pleased!
Service was good. There was a slight mix-up with one mocha, but we didn’t say anything as it wasn’t an issue for us.
Atmosphere was very nice.
Extensive menu! Prices are fair.

Great atmosphere and menu options. My friend and I came here for coffee and ended up getting food as well. They have seasonal beverage options, breakfast sandwiches, and lunch sandwiches also. I got an iced chai latte and a sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit, both of which were delicious. We ordered to go because we had somewhere to be, but I’m excited to take advantage of one of the cozy seating areas next time.

If you’re looking for a place to take the kids and enjoy some of the finest ice cream, you’ve found your new go-to spot. Need coffee, they’ve got as nice if not nicer selections than Starbucks. Graeters Ice Cream is from Cincinnati and made in French pots. You won’t find a better ice cream. Prices are reasonable and the staff is super kind. It will not disappoint!

My favorite! Friendly staff and fun place that has alot more than coffee to offer! Peets coffee is what they serve, ice cream, sandwiches, breakfast or lunch items, macaroons too! A bit pricey but they have a variety of flavors you can add to your coffee and are very accommodating for us picky palet folks!
I know them well and all employees are patient and enjoy making your experience here good! Need more chocolate? Just ask! They just renovated and added more parking that is now shared with all businesses connected by lot. Added a larger outdoor seating and ice cream parlor inside. Very clean always!

When I go to a coffeehouse, I expect the barista to be friendly and helpful. The male baristas we had today were very unfriendly, did not even acknowledge us when we walked in, and then got our order wrong. There was only one other customer in the place. Very unfriendly and borderline rude vibe. I doubt we will be returning when we visit the area again! It was very unlike the vibe of the town as a whole. I hope the staff is retrained in customer service to make it a better experience for their guests.

EDIT: We did indeed patronize Front Porch Coffeehouse, not another establishment. The statue of small children locking hands and playing is not an accurate depiction of this business.

I expected management to respond to this review in the manner in which they did, so I am happy to provide details. Upon walking into the (very empty) establishment on Sunday morning, we were looked at, but not spoken to. One of the gentlemen behind the counter walked in front of us to restock the cold items and did not say “excuse me” or even say anything at all as he stood 2 ft in front of us. We asked for iced coffees with oat milk and sugar; we were given black iced coffee. We did not feel comfortable asking him to remake it and luckily we had coffee creamer in our car as we were heading back home after visiting the area. While we were there, there was a customer who walked up to the register and asked the barista to remake his drink because it did not taste good. I was there with another female, and the overall atmosphere was very unwelcoming and uncomfortable. When we left, we exited out the side door. The barista looked at me and then turned away, without even offering a “thanks for coming in” or a “goodbye” greeting.

The fact that management responded to this review in this manner (and has responded to similar poor reviews with defensiveness and excuses), shows that there is a serious lack of accountability and a top-down leadership issue within the business. I do hope that the staff is retrained on customer service so they treat EVERY customer with dignity and respect, not just regulars, residents of the town, and males. Management, no need to respond again…I just wanted to warn folks that apparently you may receive the customer service that the employees feel like offering that day, not the customer service that you deserve.

Great atmosphere and friendly status. Serve Pete’s coffee – far better than Starbucks. Pete’s whipped cream is excellent. Choose this coffee shop if you’re in Kilmarnock.

This is the go-to coffee shop in Kilmarnock. I was there at 10am on a Saturday, and the place was packed with … everyone. Couples, dads with children, elderly, young singles, families. A real happy mix.
