The ambiance and vibe here are lovely. The shop is super cute with plenty of tables and space to sit, relax, or get some work done. The staff was SO friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better.
Now, the matcha… it did not disappoint! Perfect balance, great flavor, and the right color (unlike another spot in OBX that basically handed me green milk the other day ). The everything bagel I had was tasty, and my husband said their banana nut muffin was a fantastic twist on a classic. He also really enjoyed the nitro cold brew – solid and smooth.
Definitely recommend checking them out at this location and supporting them – such a great find!
Bonus: probably the BEST SUGAR COOKIES on the planet.
A JEWEL of the OBX, for sure!

The shop was big and there was plenty of seating for different activities; reading, working, chatting with a friend or just relaxing. The cortado was good; not the best nor the worst I have had on my coffee journey. But the service was not good. No pleasant greeting or smile. The baristas made me feel like I was bothering them. The place was not busy. Maybe they were having a bad day, but I like to remind my kids that a smile can make a mediocre experience spectacular and rudeness can destroy something special. Plus, I didn’t need a smile that day, but you never know what kind of day the customer behind me was having.
Enjoying life one cortado at a time!
The coffee was decent, I ordered decaf espresso as I’m not able to have caffeine so it’s my fault but it was not flavorful at all unfortunately. Besides that the services was amazing and the employees were so kind and chatted while my large family went through and ordered! We had 8 drinks and they were done in about 5 minutes!! We will definitely be back to try some more drinks and pastries!
I was disappointed when I was told that there were no gluten-free options by the young girl working the register.
As hubby was paying for his Pastry, I saw a sign for gluten-free Zen Bowls.
The girl said she forgot about those.
I excitedly ordered a Tropical Twist, but then was told they were out of that and another flavor.
I settled on The Mediterranean.
I was SHOCKED when I was handed a partially filled plastic cup.
I started walking away, but turned around, held the Cup up, and asked if this was supposed to be how the Bowl came, giving them another chance. The girl at the register and the one that prepared it, both assured me that it was.
To me, that sign was very deceiving! A Bowl is NOT a Cup! And, it was way overpriced at $7.99! The flavors were very good together, and it was tasty, but gone in a few spoonfuls.
But, I will NEVER return! And, when I make that statement, I keep it!
I do not appreciate false advertising. Fix the sign, change the name, show the Cup, adjust the price, do something to be upfront about this menu item . . .
