Today we tried for the first time a restaurant in Colleyville. Across the Pond, is a charming British food restaurant, and overall, it was a delightful experience. My husband ordered the beef stew, and it was absolutely delicious—hearty, well-seasoned, and full of tender beef. On the other hand, I tried the fish and chips. While the flavor was great, the fish was slightly over-fried, preety dark, though the batter remained moist inside. The fries were crispy, but could use a bit of refinement.
The ambiance was cozy and welcoming even though the space is a bit on the smaller side. Overall, it’s a great spot for anyone craving authentic British cuisine with a warm atmosphere.

I was really excited to come to this place. The food was good, the chips were probably the best thing on either plate., they were doughy but a good flavor in the sausage. Fish and chips were good. Large size portion but again chips on the plate better than the fish. I was excited to see beer battered mushrooms. They tasted good, but again a little bit doughy.

It’s so hard to find good gluten free restaurants. My wife had the GF fish and chips with GF beer and absolutely loved it. My stew was really good. I would definitely come back.

So many great GF options! I felt like a kid at the candy store, but I was eating all the things I can never have anywhere else. We will definitely be back!

Overall it was a great experience. The food was very good. I got the sausage roll plate which was very well seasoned . The inside is a little bare bones, but honestly it works for this place. I would come back. Also the servers were very friendly.

Had a great experience eating here and the food tasted authentic to what I remember when living in England. Too bad they only have the roast beef on Sunday. I probably would have ordered that.

I’ve heard of this place before and it’s been on our list to visit. We knew it was featured on Restaurant Impossible and they’ve done quite well after. So we set out on a Sunday afternoon.
From outside it doesn’t really jump out at you because it’s tucked into a strip center. As soon as we walked in though….wham!!!!! We felt like we were in London. Never been but have a trip to Great Britain year so this is our trial for the food.
Sydney was our waitress and was amazing. Very friendly, helpful and checked in on us to make sure we didn’t need anything.
Started with the taste of Britain sampler. It comes with a scotch egg ( liked it and the crispy outside), the sausage roll (loved it!!!! That sausage was scrumptious), cheese and crackers and a really tasty pickle salad dish that I happened to love!
My wife ordered the fish and chips and the portion was huge. I stole some and the fish was perfectly cooked and loved the crisp batter. The fries were even good too!
I had to try the cottage pie (although we’ve always called it shepherds pie). Again a huge portion and I took half home. It was everything g I hoped it would be! The potatoes were nicely seasoned and loved the meat pie!
We didn’t have room for dessert but will come back to try. Also, I had envy of the tables that ordered the onion rings. I will come back at least to order those. They looked amazing!!!!

Themed pub has delectable foods and drinks. Small bar selection let’s you focus on their authentic cuisine. Staff is very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. Very limited seating (< 10 tables, 6 bar chairs) is cozy and decor is fitting and fascinating. Poorly lit but maybe part of the ambience.

Three of us had a late lunch here today and the food was fantastic. One of our party members has celiac so the menu being almost completely gluten free without having to ask for substitutions was why we gave it a try.
We tried the mozzarella sticks, fish and chips, banger and mash and finally the sticky toffee pudding cake. Everything came out very hot and delicious with generous portions even from the lunch menu.
Service was great as well. She knew the dish’s ingredient information and was very kind and attentive.

The food was incredible. Best fish and chips my spouse has had so far and the Sunday Special was so tender and reminded me of Sunday dinner at my grandma’s. The staff were attentive and kind. Quiet and quaint place to have dinner.
