Frodo’s is Greenville’s OG pizza place. The buffet is small but mighty. This is 80’s style pizza, medium thick crust, lots of toppings, lots of cheese. The salad bar has everything you can think of, even a macaroni or potato salad, and I believe the dressings are homemade (at least they taste like they are). $15 covers salad bar, pizza bar, drinks, and chocolate chip cookie dessert. Yum. To the guy who thinks Frodo’s needs a “refresh”, uh, no. We like it just the way it is.

Pizza was delicious. Salad bar was good. Very crowded Friday night and this guy had his kids running all over the restaurant but they didn’t bother us. We were sat at the corner table. Overall good experience. I would definitely come back for the pizza!

Thankful for the Greenville Foodie’s Facebook page recommendations finally stopped by to visit Frodo’s Pizza and I am glad I did. Giving a chance to different Greenville SC pizza spots each week and this has been a solid one I found so far.
The dough and sauce was fresh, the toppings didn’t disappoint and very good cheese pull which is always a good time in my mind body and soul. Had “The Everything” Pizza as is and small Pepperoni Pizza . Forgot to mention the person that took my order over the phone was really nice and helpful. Plus he was really nice when I picked up the pizza in person.

Great, well-stocked salad bar and four pizza types to choose from the buffet! Awesome place to eat. Old time decor with gas station signs feels just right.

We love Frodo’s! Often take one or two of the kids here for the lunch buffet (wish there was a family deal so we could all go!) The staff are very friendly and the pizzas are great! The restaurant itself is a don’t judge a book by its cover situation: looks like a broke down truck stop on the outside, but very clean and cool on the inside.

Ordered take out here. They told me 15 minutes. I showed up in 10 and the pizza was ready. Well cooked, well seasoned, great taste. A bit expensive but the pizza was good, so I have no complaints.
On a Dave Portnoy scale, I gave the pizza a 7.6. Definitely recommended.

7 years since I had a lunch here. I can’t say enough good about quality pizza buffet, people helping you out, and genuinely caring about you. Nostalgia overload and full tummy.

There is a difference between nostalgia and neglect. Sadly this place has crossed that line. There is such great opportunity here for a revived passion for this classic Greenville pizza joint. Parking lot and building exterior need a refresh. Carpet is dingy and lighting needs work. Again everything just need a refresh. Teenage staff are what they are, without active adult leadership they’re going to sit around on their phones between giving you mediocre service – doesn’t bother me, at least they have a job. Pizza is pretty decent, sauce is on the bitter side (low quality canned tomatoes crushed with their seeds perhaps) and there were probably more large air bubbles than one would normally see on a large pizza. Four claw grabber arcade machines is a bit excessive, something fresh and creative should be done instead. Greenville has a lot of great competition in restaurants and simply sitting by and relying on a nostalgic feel is eventually going to fail.
