Pretty good spot. Probably quite busy in the summer. Ordered a footlong hotdog and a small poutine. The hotdog was nothing special, and for $7.20, not worth it. The toppings were decent. The gravy on the poutine was good, but the fresh cut fries didn’t seem that fresh cut. They were also underdone.

I asked someone to recommend a burger joint here in Woodstock. They suggested Fritzie’s. So, I went to the West End location to have a bite. Zero disappointment was experienced.
First off, the atmosphere is nostalgia personified. News articles about Fritzie’s history adorn the walls. Plentiful seating provided ample room for diners. The counter/grill area gives anyone ample opportunity to see how their food is prepared and handled. And the fridge is pretty awesome!
Second, the menu selections are abundant! Whatever you might be craving from a burger joint is there. Hamburger and cheeseburgers, of course. But various incarnations of hot dogs, poutines, rings, frings and even corned beef or fish on a bun. Bacon slices and back bacon are available. And they have authentic milkshakes! And the toppings list is amazing! They don’t even charge for sauerkraut.
Which brings me to the price. You could feed a family of 5 for $60 with no drinks on this menu easily. I think this place froze their prices back in 2005 or something.
Next up, the service is very pleasant and the staff were quite welcoming. They also were appearing to be enjoying life as opposed to most service industry employees I see these days. So, that was a big plus for me.
And finally, the food is excellent. You at a Michelin rated restaurant when you are Fritzie’s but you will get yourself a quality meal if my experience is any indicator. They use beef tallow for their fresh cut fries and those fries were delicious! Slightly crispy on the outside with a perfect French fry texture on the inside. The burger was not fresh made BUT it was a juicy Norpac patty grilled to perfection. The bacon I added sent my cheeseburger to a new level!

It is a great place to eat if your looking for good diner food.the cheeseburger was fantastic, the onion rings are old school and the footlong hotdog was tasty.

The poutine was okay and the burgers are horrible . I was the place would start serving home made patties instead of frozen patties. And wish they would put some lettuce and tomatoes. Instead of using chop onions use sliced onion ring style for burgers. The price is okay. And it was our first time here. The employees are nice and approachable. I Lome their decors inside

Great service , expect about a 35 min wait when its really busy , its definitely worth the wait tho my wife and I got the chili cheese footlong a cheese burger and shared a large fries with sourcream cheese bacon and green onion, the cheese burgers are awesome but the footlongs are better , didnt care to much for the chili on the foot long but the footlong was bussin, the fries were so good as well ,so filling great prices fresh food definitely will be back.

My husband and I used to go to the other end but since they closed we recently discovered this one was here and what a difference! we loved the look of this place and feeling welcomed right when we walk in. It was two younger girls working and they were so cheerful and friendly. We had a poutine to share and I had a footlong and he had a burger and it was delicious! Next time i’m ordering the cauliflower bites since they have it, i’ve been telling my friends about this place:)

Great food, wonderful service. It was one of my favorite places to eat when I lived in Woodstock over 20 years ago. I would still recommend them for a quick meal, the chili cheese fries, and the sausage on a bun, which were great tasting. It brought back so many great memories, and I added another memory today.

They claim to have the best poutine in the world. Who wouldn’t be a little curious? Decided to put them up to the test and got a Poutine with a Burger and a Milkshake (Banana Chocolate) Milkshake was tasty burger was standards (not anything to write home about) The poutine was one of the best poutines I’ve ever had in my life. I don’t know if I am comfortable giving them the crown as best every but it is definitely close. If you have never tried it and are a fan of poutine Fitzie’s is worth the drive.
