I drove across country 4 years ago from California to Florida – all the states in between. This time as we flee Florida’s lunatic ways we came BACK across the country only taking new routes we’ve never been before. We decided to stop in Dighton to show our son his family farm, so that my husband could pay his respects to his family members at the local cemetery. To be another family member staying at the local Dighton Inn (Shay’s).
When I say this place is the best, it really is. The customer service is phenomenal. She’s amazing & talented! How their system works…ice cream brought out while waiting. May be the simplest thing to some folks but to someone like me who excels in customer service…she’s got it!
Best ice cream ever. Huge burgers, good Cajun fries. Nuff sed.

Stopped at Frigid Cream yesterday, here in Dighton KS.
Purchased a Bacon Double Cheeseburger w/everything on it, large fries and a quart of chocolate ice cream with strawberries mix in.
OMG! That was the biggest burger I had seen in a very long time! The taste was amazing, and made fresh to order.
Needless to say…
I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend Fridig Cream!

About what you’d expect. Good food, but definitely don’t expect fast food chain’s level of quickness and service. It took me 30 minutes to get my food. But very glad a small town like Dighton has it as a food option.

I have ALWAYS loved this place! I remember walking with my brother from grandma’s home (when we were young) to get a Pizza Burger. Every time I drive through I stop and get one with the breaded mushrooms… oh my, delicious!! My last trip was on point just like every other. I’d give yal 10 stars if I could! Yes, the service was great as well!!

I wouldn’t necessarily encourage everyone to do this, but we rolled up in six different trucks fully loaded with hungry families after a family event ten minutes before Frigid Creme closed up for the night. In other words, we were the kind of nightmare only those who have worked in the food service industry would recognize.
Despite this, the two employees were happy to take on the challenge and served our 40+ items professionally and warmly. Frankly, I would have been completely understanding if they had turned us away or been unable to serve us, but they didn’t.
Thank you very much for being our memorable ending to a very memorable family day. Grandpa would have loved y’all too.

Stopped and got a great borger here driving OKC > DEN. Was not disappoint. Places like this is what makes getting off the interstate and just going cross country down the back highways pretty great sometimes.

Just passing through town and decided to try this place out, never been there before. The food was good as was the value for the money. The best part however was the service. The girl that came out to take my order was pleasant, helpful, knowledgeable and professional. What a find in 2020! Whoever raised that girl should be proud, as should she.
