This was our first time at Friendship BBQ in Shoreline and overall it was a cool experience. The skewers were fun to try and the atmosphere was lively. We did order wagyu, but it honestly didn’t taste like wagyu and was pretty tough, so the quality could definitely be better there. The chicken feet was another level. Ordered but could not finish it. Still, we enjoyed trying the place and would come back to try other items.

The Lamb Skewers were on the saltier side. The Xinjiang Lamb Skewer was chunky, which made it hard to eat. The Spicy Rice Noodle Pot was also a bit salty. We tried a variety of other items, including Enoki Mushroom, Gizzards, Beef Skewers, Pork Belly, Lotus Root, Squid, Lamb Kidney, Pork Belly with Enoki Mushroom, and Chicken Heart. None of these stood out, but I also don’t have anything negative to say about them. There’s also a free order of Shrimp in Chili Sauce if you spend over $88.
I liked the free Yakult we received after our meal. The vibe is very relaxed. Overall, it’s a wonderful spot if you’re craving Chinese-style skewers, though I think the seasoning could use a little work.

We came on a Saturday afternoon without a reservation, specifically craving the lamb and beef with tərdan spices, both were our top picks. The pork intestine were also surprisingly good, especially if you’re into offal. The service was exceptionally friendly, and overall, it was a solid dining experience.

This place is amazing if you visit in person! We ordered once during the pandemic and wasn’t impressed, but decided to give it another try. We were not disappointed! The menu is pretty extensive. We ordered an assortment of skewers (our favorites were the pork belly, beef and fat, and chicken gristle) which were all nicely cooked and had great flavor. We also got a side of cold cucumbers which were refreshing and slightly tart / sweet and the spicy rice noodles. My husband loved the noodles which were very comforting to eat alongside the skewers. Everything tasted very fresh, was served quickly, and decent in portion. We hit $88 and the waitstaff gifted us with a shrimp dish, which was also very yummy. After the meal, staff also gave us two yakult drinks to wash it all down. The service was also great – water and napkins were provided without us having to ask. So glad we decided to stop by! We will definitely be back to try more things!

The skewers were absolutely the highlight of the meal – beyond amazing! I would come back any day just for those alone. We also tried two hot pots, and both were out of this world – packed with flavor and so satisfying. And to top it all off, the donuts dipped in condensed milk were the perfect sweet finish. Everything was delicious from start to finish – highly recommend! Could have been spicier.

To start our afternoon lunch date, we enjoyed a cup of refreshing green tea along with some peanuts and a cucumber salad. Let me tell you, that cucumber salad was a game-changer! It was the best thing I have eaten in a long time, and I found myself going back to it throughout the entire meal. The freshness and vibrant flavors of the salad were simply outstanding.
We decided to try the combo A with medium spice, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice. Every item in the combo was packed with well-balanced flavors, but the mushrooms and lamb stole the show for me. The tenderness of the meat and the earthy taste of the mushrooms made for a truly delightful combination.
While we thoroughly enjoyed most of our choices, the potato rice didn’t quite hit the mark for me personally. It just wasn’t my cup of tea, but I understand that taste preferences can vary widely. Nonetheless, it didn’t overshadow the overall enjoyment of the meal.

Truly one of the worst meals I’ve ever had in my life. We got all sorts of things – fried noodles, wagyu, squid, mackerel, beef, green beans, pork belly. Almost every single thing we ate tasted gross/ old. I wish I could go back in time and not eat here instead of spending $80 and ruining our Friday night. On top of how expensive everything was, we somehow left hungry because of how tiny the portions were
