In business since 2010, Friends is a casual restaurant with great, fresh food, as well as a full bar. So, come in for a meal, or to have a drink with a friends, or to watch some sports on TV. Friends American Grill is hands down one of my favorite spots to hang out. The bar has such a great atmosphere—fun, welcoming, and always a good time whether you’re stopping in for a quick drink or planning to stay for a while. The bartenders are awesome and make the experience even better. They’re friendly, quick, and really know what they’re doing behind the bar. The drinks are always made perfectly and they’ve got a great variety to choose from.
The food is just as good as the drinks. Everything I’ve tried has been fresh, flavorful, and comes out quickly even when it’s busy. It’s the kind of place where you can come for the bar but end up staying because the food is so good.
The bartenders also do a great job with food service. They’re attentive, make sure you have everything you need, and keep the vibe upbeat the whole time. Overall, Friends American Grill is a great place for good drinks, great food, and amazing service. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re looking for a fun spot with a great bar atmosphere!

I recently ate at Friends Winder Grill and had a pretty good experience. The food, in general, was good, but the hamburger was definitely the star—it was excellent.
The service was just okay; nothing special, but not bad either. One thing that really stood out was the floor, which was uneven and felt like a tripping hazard.
We did have to wait a bit for our food to arrive, but I have to say, the wait was worth it once we tasted that hamburger!

Not a bad place to kill time and watch the games. I’ve done it 2 times now with different bartenders and over different weekend days and it’s been a pleasant place to kill time and watch the game.

Absolutely love this place! When you’re in downtown Winder, always stop by Friends! The beer is cold, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is always fun and inviting. The chicken Philly is so flavorful and cooked perfectly every time, and the Monte Cristo is next level — sweet, savory, and totally satisfying. Great food and friendly service always. Definitely one of my go-to spots in Winder!

Ate at this location for the first time. Decided to try the fried green tomatoes BLT. My honest opinion is it was dissapointing for the cost. 2 thin pieces of bacon? Thats the main part, the meat. The protein, a decent BLT should have atleast 4 strips. Thats the main part of the sandwich the bacon not the fried tomatoes. As a chef myself I would suggest putting the lettuce on the side so it stays crisp and doesn’t get soggy from the over greasy fried tomato by the time it gets to the table. The tomato was so hot I couldn’t even eat it in my sandwich, it burned my mouth. I had to take it out and eat it on the side. Didn’t enjoy it very much due to all the grease and soggy lettuce and the 2 pieces of thin bacon i wouldn’t recommend. The Pimento wontons were good but instead of sauce on the side they put it over and under and it was too much. Every bite was overly drenched in sauce.

I enjoyed my experience here not one bad thing. Food was great place was great but most of all the server. Kayli did a great job and made my experience there a 10. She was kind and helpful and I will definitely be going back next time and ask for her to be my server. We kept her on her feet and not once did she make us feel unsatisfied or like if we were asking for too much. Great manners all around a great person. Everyone else was also great.

food is okay. nothing special though. bun is too small for burgers. tomatoes have too much white in the middle. they put the tomato against the bun (everyone knows you’re supposed to put the lettuce against the bun so the tomato doesn’t get the bun extra soggy). I chose cheddar (not American) for my burger and they only sprinkled a tiny bit on my burger. shredded lettuce on a burger?! enough said. fries were good though. but the off-brand ketchup tasted like sugar and corn syrup. water tastes strange here. I’ve never tasted toilet water but i imagine that’s what it tastes like. entire restaurant smells strong like mold. I would be afraid to work here due to the mold, the smell smacking you in the face when you walk in. Manager didn’t change my coins to a dollar for the crane claw machine because some pennies were included in my dollar worth of change. never heard of a business accepting cash but not all cash, lol. I want to love Friends Grill so bad but it’s just potential; nothing special. best thing about this place is the kind waitresses. everything else could improve! i likely won’t return, but I’ll bet you don’t mind that

Usually love this place. Wings was awesome. Perfectly cooked and sauce is just how I like it.. however the steak wedge salad is usually great! But today. The rare steak is well done!!! So dry from being cooked well done.. and it was So hard to cut with plasticware. Hoping it was just an off day. I’ll definitely be back for the wings!

Me and my family went here last night and the service was horrible. I ordered a grilled chicken Caesar salad, it came out with no chicken and rotten lettuce. Although they said it was a grilled, not rotten. It was clearly wilted. My daughters burger was ordered plain (made sure of that 3 times) it came out with cheese and my husbands wings came out wrong. My son said his chicken tasted horrible. Maybe if the employees weren’t so worried about other things (ex: being on FaceTime) these things wouldn’t happen. We aren’t ones to complain; but this was just unacceptable. We also weren’t discounted on anything for the inconvenience and on top of that they still had the salad on our bill. We definitely won’t be back.

My husband, bestfriend, and I came in last night and sat at one of the tables in bar, the bartenders were very attentive and gave great service. I had a steak wedge and it was huge. Very good, worth the price. Maddi and sunny were great we will be back. We used to come a lot when it was a different menu, usually we are skeptical about the menu changing but this one is a winner. I like how they changed from the regular steak to these steak filet tips, they are very good and don’t get dried out or tough like the other steak used too. I highly recommend stopping in to see these girls and try out some food and drinks.
