I was pleasantly surprised to find the same French rosé here that I’ve enjoyed in other Miami spots. I was thrilled because I know it’s top-notch, and it’s amazing to see a coffee shop setting the bar high for quality wines. Whether you’re there for a meal or a great glass of wine, they’ve got you covered!
The steak was a cheap cut, quite tough. Cooked medium rare and seasoned nicely. The egg was cooked in the same location so it had a lot of grill residue on the bottom. The cachapa itself was very flavorful and the cheese was melted through. Not impressed, but I did enjoy the dish and the flavor combinations.
Bartender was a nice young lady and did check up on me. Never asked if I wanted a refill or anything else.
The store itself has a lot of alcohol and some simple staples.
I’d return again, but not overly impressed.
Did not acknowledge me after that. Sure No TIP (.01) either. Just a regular waitress who took it upon herself to do her bidding. So Much for 1st Impressions.
The menu offers a wide variety of options, blending American, Italian, and Venezuelan flavors. Everything is well prepared, flavorful, and served in generous portions. The quality of the food is consistently good, and you can tell care goes into each dish.
The service is friendly and attentive, which really elevates the overall experience. Whether you’re dining in, sitting outside, or grabbing something to go, the staff makes you feel welcome.
Overall, Friends Market & Bistro is a reliable and enjoyable spot with great food, good vibes, and reasonable prices. Definitely a place I’d recommend and continue coming back to.
Tequeños:
Crispy, golden, and fried just right. The cheese inside had that perfect salty melt, and they came with a creamy green dipping sauce (likely an avocado or cilantro aioli). The contrast between the crunch and the warm interior was spot-on. Solid appetizer — satisfying and nostalgic.
Sirloin Cachapa:
A hefty plate with a generous portion. The cachapa itself had a beautiful golden sear with a sweet corn base, soft in the center and just a little crispy on the edges. The sirloin was tender and flavorful, paired nicely with avocado slices, shredded cheese, and a scoop of sour cream on the side. There was a touch of pico de gallo for freshness. Altogether, it was hearty and indulgent without being overwhelming.
Atmosphere:
The space was casual and laid-back, with cozy lighting and enough room to relax. It felt like a good spot to unwind or catch up with friends over food that hits the soul.
Verdict:
Authentic flavors, good portions, and great execution. If you’re in the mood for Venezuelan comfort food, Friends delivers both on flavor and experience.
