First and foremost, THE PARKING LOT is complete H E DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS. It took at least 10 minutes to get from one side of the shopping center to the otherside where the establishment is. The traffic and congestion in the parking lot makes you not even want to go!
The atmosphere inside was cute but the staff’s customer service was mediocre and that’s being nice. No one greeted us as we entered and upon sitting down NONE of the staff acknowledged our presence for at least a good 7 minutes.
The food was MID, portions were SMALL, the price does NOT match what you pay for. The mashed potatoes tasted like boxed mash, the vegetables was ok and the entrees though they had flavor were full of FAT therefore, not fulfilling as we had to skim the fat off which left portion sizes for a toodler. The Philly steak egg rolls were just okay.
We reserved a table which cost $40 for Valentines Day. The cost of the reservation did go toward the cost of the bill but for the experience I REGRET it.
We literally left after paying $145 and had to go grab some Raising Canes to fill our bellies

I came to Friends Kitchen & Cocktails when they first opened and recently returned, and let me just say, the experience was just as amazing as day one! The consistency here is unmatched. Their Happy Hour deals are incredible, the food and drinks are always yummy, and the staff is so warm, attentive, and welcoming every single time. The vibe is exactly what you want after a long day or for a fun night out. And to mention the hookah…smooth, flavorful, and easily some of the best in the city!

Bruh. Mouthwatering, drooling, taste buds dancing lamb chops had me in another world! Took the leftover home and crushed it the next day. It was just as delicious! This was my first time here and I came the next day for my friend’s birthday. It was amazing. She also loved it here. Thank You to DeeDee, Heaven and Triston as well, for making our time here special! Will be back!

Outside def doesn’t do any justice for how nice it looked inside. This place is a vibe to sit and have some drinks with friends while having a good hookah session. Hookah was smooth, lasted long and flavor was spot on. Music was good and wasn’t so loud where you can’t have a convo. I didn’t eat but we all liked our drinks. Drinks are a bit pricey but not mad at it. Service was good.

I celebrated my birthday at Friends Kitchen and Cocktails and I’m so glad I decided to come here spontaneously — it did NOT disappoint! From the moment we arrived, the vibe was everything. They offer a nicely priced happy hour, and the hookah was very affordable, which made the celebration even better.
The stir fry was absolutely delicious — flavorful, fresh, and cooked perfectly. Everything about the experience felt fun, welcoming, and worth it.
I’ll definitely be returning again. Highly recommend for birthdays, girls’ nights, or just a good time!

Francy was a wonder server and was very accommodating to our allergies. The food, hookah and vibes were there. I recommend Friends for happy house for sure. Nice chill spot for you and your girls or boo to go to! Ambiance was nice as well. I recommend the close friends and pomegranate martini to drink as well!

Found the good food in the DMV!! I forgot what this spot was back in the day but Friends is def an upgrade. A friend recommended it so I went to try it out and wasn’t disappointed. Literally EVERYTHING was good (I had the chicken pasta, “left on read” cocktails, and a hookah). The ambiance was great (great music selection but not too loud) and the service was top tier (you had a waitress but the others in the restaurant would still come to check in if you looked unattended. I’ll def be back, probably the best night out location for me in Alexandria.

I went to Friends last week on a cool Wednesday just to meet up with a friend for hookah but ended up trying so many different Happy Hour options. I had the bang bang shrimp and truffle fries for food, and for drinks I had a “Sneaky Link” and some other perfectly crafted cocktails. If you’re in the area, you have to make this your new home for happy hour, private events, or just somewhere to vibe out at!! When you go, ask for Skye she will take care of you! A big Thank you to the whole Friends family for the hospitality!

From the outside looking in, you would think the place is abandoned but the inside of the restaurant is beautiful and new. The staff were super nice and the food was great! I ordered the chicken fajitas and the fries. I came as soon as they opened so there was plenty of parking but with more people, I could see the parking lot getting super congested. Also, the hours posted online and on their website are wrong. The place does not open until 10:30 am. I was pleasantly surprised by this place.
